You have to go to Choy's to see the ceiling, I know that is an odd way to start a review, but it's true The style of Choy's is so well thought out, it effectively uses Red throughout the restaurant, there is traditional Chinese art along the walls and they have beautiful wooden tables each painted with a Chinese character. But the ceiling has huge red columns running from one end to the other, it is such a great idea, kind of industrial chic.
What I most recommend at Choy's is the Banquet, which are reasonably priced, the one I ordered was $19.80. which provided me a spring roll, dim sim, chilli king prawns, Mongolian Lamb, pork ribs with plum sauce, honey chicken, stir fried mixed vegetable and both fried rice and boiled rice, everything was delicious, although I couldn't get through it all, definitely value for money, also Choy's is licensed, serving cocktails, spirits and very reasonably priced wine.
Choy's is surprisingly reasonable value for such a sophisticated establishment, I would absolutely dine there again. read more
