When my daughter came back home several weeks into her freshman year, she said, "I'm so grateful I went to Veritas. I know how to think and am prepared for college." This small, intimate place feels like you walked back in time to the 80s-90s with a TV on a rolling cart, which only comes out if the kids can't spend all day outside (which I love). They have all types of older games that encourage creativity and are not the norm toys they see at home. It does not have all the bells and whistles of a new building, but it feels like a home or grandma's house. My Son is 10 years old and stopped going because of Covid. He often asks to stop by with donuts or a card to say hello to all of his old teachers, and he cares deeply for the owner, Mrs. Day!

They have truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Every member of the staff knows my children's names. They know what they like. I've walked in midday to pick up a sick child and found them being snuggled and held, asleep in the arms of a loving teacher or staff member.t You hear things about how schools feel like family, and Primrose Midlothian truly does. But they fell short at the end. You would think, one would enter in the front of the school to attend the basketball game. But there was another entrance about a mile around the school where we needed to enter. Instead of walking in the cold, we drove around to bus ramp area and this is where the gym is located. The gym here is pretty large it definitely accommodated the large crowd on a weeknight... Varina vs Kings Fork... a rematch from last year. The Bulldogs fell short again! I am not sure if the concession stand was open because when we arrived it wasn't. As a result, minus one star. If the stand did open, they must not have offered a lot because I did not see one nacho, one hotdog... nothing... bummed! Plenty of parking. Check it out if you are in the area. It's massive. Sabot has nurtured their curiosity and their identity as readers, writers and researchers. Each year they have unfailingly been supported in developing their own theories and furthering their academic inquiry. This has resulted in such ownership over their learning, and confidence in their place in the classroom community. The social constructionist approach in the classroom has fostered an environment where their social-emotional growth has been stretched and supported. Not only are my children learning to be students, they are learning to be good citizens. While no school is perfect, the dedication of the faculty and staff to the students and to this approach to learning has been evident in every interaction.
