Hands down my new favorite place to stay in Edinburgh. Located in a charming neighborhood, close to the city center, but nice and quiet.
We stayed in a penthouse unit, which has a great layout of living area, kitchenette, amazing bathroom, and nice-sized bedroom with the most comfortable bed ever. I always judge hotels by bed comfort and quality of linens, and Chester passes with flying colors. Nothing worse than dealing with jet lag, and having poor quality sleep due to hard bed or scratchy linens.
Staff was delightful in every way, and always at the ready with advice and help.
