In short: Awful customer service, terrible technical ability, no workmanship or attention to detail and completely non existent communication skills! In detail:My girlfriend accidentally stood on my ipad screen and broke it so we took it here to get fixed. About 3 weeks later it finally arrived. There were a number of problems that were not there before such as dirt and what looked like a bubble under the screen, the menu (home) button wasn't working properly unless you forced it down, also the magnetic awakening feature stopped working, and a few dead pixels that were not there before. I spoke to them and told them what the problem was and they refused to pay for the return postage but as it was only a few £'s I conceded. After they received it I heard nothing from them for weeks so I called them and was told that they were waiting for parts. A few weeks more and still no communication I called again to be told there was nothing wrong with it in the first place?!? So I once again explained the faults that they had caused to be told that the guy could sell me a new ipad if i'd prefer, obviously I said no and once again requested that they fix mine. Its now mid August and they have had it since May, after a postage problem and more poor customer care I have finally received my Ipad. I wasn't expecting much when i opened it but was still disappointed. Firstly there are coffee stains on my case. Secondly the home button is still less than responsive and finally there are hairs under the screen! Almost 3 months and this is the best they can do. I have to say - I'm impressed. I couldn't get anyone local (I live in Spain) to replace the battery in my Lumia 1520, so I got in touch with Simon at Chester Computer Centre because I was in the UK for a few days. He wouldn't have been able to source the new battery in the time I was there, but he was quite happy for me to get one delivered to me, and for me to bring him 'phone and battery. About an hour after we left the 'phone with him, my wife got a text saying the repair was completed. We went back and Simon gave me the old battery and the repaired 'phone. I really can't tell that the 'phone has been taken to pieces at all; but I've had it back a week, and it's now 40 hours since I last charged it, and it's still at 33%. Absolutely brilliant job, and I wouldn't hesitate to get Chester Computer Centre to fix my electronic gear in the future. read more

It's not even worth one star, my laptop broke due to water damage and I needed it for my exam. They told me they could fix it and would ring me when they have done so. They rang to telling me they'd fixed it so I came to collect it the next day. The man in the shop tried turning it on and it wouldn't work. And the guy said your keyboard is faulty, therefor I said why didn't you fix it and he said I didn't have your laptop password. And I replied well why didnt you ring me to ask to which he said our phone wasn't working. I'm refusing to pay them because they have actually done nothing to fix my computer. Take your laptop somewhere else do not trust this shop. read more

I've had nothing but excellent service from this shop over the years. I dont understand the two low ratings and wouldn't be surprised if they have been posted by a rival shop trying to inflate there own rating. They've fixed both laptops and desktops for me in the past and every time they have returned the machines in fully working condition. They have excellent trade in deals for swapping older machines for new ones. All round excellent service and I would recommend anyone with problems to give them a go! read more

After our son dropped his iPad 2 on the solid floor of our kitchen we were faced with the task of getting it repaired. Found this shop after a quick google search and took it in. We were advised that it would take up to 24 hours to repair and they would call or text me when the job was completed. Received a text message later on the same day to advise the job was done and i'm very pleased with the results. For the money paid I couldn't fault this shop and would happily recommend to anyone! read more

Having used this place previously for my laptop repair needs I was pleased to find out that they have started to do phone repairs in addition to laptops. My iPhone 4S had developed a faulty lock button and was basically getting to be totally unusable so I dropped it in. A couple of hours later and I had my phone back and the button is working better than it ever did. I cannot fault the quality of the work done or the time taken, both were excellent! read more

Took my iPad 2 today to CCC to have smashed screen repaired. Took just the 2 hour advertised time to repair upon which I received a text advising it was ready to collect, which impressed me considering it was a busy Saturday in Chester. Great job and pleasant staff. Would recommend. read more

Don't use their online service if you actually want to receive the product you've paid for. They sent to wrong address which means I can't get it, and now won't email me back about a refund. Brilliant. read more
