Dr. Benjamin Cohen was absolutely no help in completing necessary forms. Not sure if it's a lack of caring or just laziness but his office basically told me that they wouldn't help me. read more

I had an emergency appointment, they cancelled it without notifying me. Got all the way to the office only to learn no one was available for my appointment: Not my scheduled physician, not another doctor available at all. And, there is no one available in the period necessary for "an ailment of this kind," so they say they would call me back with the name of someone else in 48 hours. read more

Great doctor care ruined by incompetent billing department. Failure to obtain prior authorization resulting in insurance company penalties that Chesapeake Urology tries to pass along to patient. Unless you are retired and like spending hours on the phone, look elsewhere for medical care. Dr Kausik is fantastic but I am planning on looking for care at another company because I can't tolerate the billing dept any longer. I am so sorry to have started my care at Chesapeake Urology. read more

Doctor and care team great, billing a nightmare. I've had to pay so much out of pocket, it should be criminal and I have zero recourse. Two years later, I'm still receiving bills that should have been covered by my TWO INSURANCE POLICIES, and yet... no. Sickening. Never again at GBMC or Chesapeake Urology. The billing was as painful as the illness. read more

The call center is in the Phillipines , impossibe to understand. Also have to provide entire medical history to someone that does not understand medical terms. Do not go here , this is not a medical journey that should be across the globe. read more

I like my doctor but the billing company is the worse I've experienced ever! The minimum wait time is 30 minutes. I haven't been able to ask a basic question. It's a shame I may need to change my doctor because the practice uses an awful billing company. I'm not surprised they have been rated so low with multiple complaints. Not patient centered care! read more

We had an exceptional doctor-patient experience. Dr. Lowentritt was very patient and knowledgeable, taking time to explain various concerns and questions we had. Our journey is much clearer now thanks in no small part to Dr. Lowentritt. read more

Very disappointed in the care my husband received. His surgery had some complications. The MA was very un ressponsive to his needs after surgery and beyond. My husband had to go to the ER twice after surgery. Then he had more complications and was not able to see one of the doctors for 2 weeks even though he told them he was in quite a bit of pain and they told him his symptoms were not normal. After finally getting to see the doctor, they told him he did have a problem but again they could not help him for another 2 weeks. My husband was not treated with compassion or care. We would strongly not re commend this group. read more

Horrible care - I became very sick after my surgery and am now having to go in for a second surgery to fix the botched first surgery. The phone system is also horrible. When you call you get someone in India who is supposed to get your doctor a message, this never happens. I spent hours on the phone and never connected. I was also sent to the wrong place for follow-up, and it was way across town. I don't know now they stay in business. read more

Terrible choice. Nobody answers the phone, and I suspect they have been hacked. If you deal with these quacks, don't respond to their requests to verify your appointment, they will require a large payment, if if you are fully insured. They wanted $1,079, and I'm fully insured, just to confirm an appointment. Definitely a scam. They were hacked in 2024, you can google that, and whoever it was must have left a back door to scam trusting patients. Prepare to be ripped off! read more

Over a year ago I had a vasectomy reversal. I had to call the doctor to find out when I should do the seman analysis, then they ordered one. It came back negative. Another 6-8mo go by, zero communication on the next step, until I called again. Another analysis was ordered...1 mo after that, still zero communication on the results. I call today and they claim they never received the results...For the amount of money I paid for this surgery, you would think there would be follow ups and steps/processes to be followed. absolute shame. Useless. You can call the call center as much as you like, the issues are rarely addressed. Even when they are addressed, they won't call you and advise, you have to call yourself. Go elsewhere. read more

Went for a long term testosterone issue. I was given Dr. Daniel Arrison. Before I even said hello I knew this guy was going to be a pure Prick and I was right. He did nothing for me besides talk down to me he actually basically accused me of scheming on him for medication or something and I'm thinking your a urologist what could I possibly be trying to get from you lol. So NO GO NASTY PPL. DEFINITELY avoid Dr. Arrison he is stuck up better then you type. True story. 3/27/25 read more

Chesapeake Urology, now also called United Urology, has gone downhill. You can only reach them by calling a call center in the Philippines! It takes forever and then if you are lucky enough to get transferred to an office in the US, you have to explain everything again. Usually, they don't understand the caller well and often it takes days to hear back from someone in the US. The exact same thing happened to my own gyn when she called to try to coordinate my care. If you have hours and weeks to spend trying to get in touch with your doctor, Chesapeake Urology is for you. Otherwise, please go to a doctor's office who cares about you, respects your time and appreciates your business. read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY FROM TIS OFFICE!!!! I completely recommend go else where!!!!!! This office has the worst front office staff, I have ever experienced! Completely incompetent and poor customer service. I have to say the individuals incompetence begins with training which indicates poor management. As long as they continue down this road, STAY AWAY!!!! Not worth it to put your health in the hands of incompetent individuals. read more

Diagnosed with stones and sent for test in May 2024, Urology office did not follow up for 7 months until December 2024. Made appointment and physician running over an hour late. Had to reschedule, rescheduled arrived early as instructed, again physician running late, waited over an hour and still waiting. This urology office stacks appointments and views its patients as numbers and dollar signs. If you have Medicaid insurance plan to be treated like trash and not respected as a human being with health problems. I do not recommend this Urology practice. Also please know Chesapeake urology found kidney stones in my partner and they didn't inform him of the stone for over a year, he suffered in pain. Also my soon to be father in law was seen here and Chesapeake urologist saw the his psa levels were rising and did nothing for over a year and now after seeing a new physician has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. If you are seeking healthcare DO NOT SEEK OUT!!!!! Chesapeake Urology. read more

I had an ambulatory surgery procedure at this location on March 6, 2023. Both the administrative and professional medical staff were very friendly and helpful. My doctor and his assistants carefully explained the procedure I would be undertaking, and were very caring in explaining what was happening as each step was occurring. After the procedure, the surgeon, Dr. Christen Alevizatos, met with me in his office and informed me as to what I could expect in recovery, made certain to answer any remaining questions or concerns I might have, and provided me with a contact phone number and encouraged me to call if I had any later side effects such as a fever or new questions. Fortunately, my recovery was swift and without any issues. I would recommend them highly to my friends and family! read more

I visited this office to talk to the doctor about getting my first DRE since I just turned 50 and I was being proactive. Spoke to the doctor, he suggested the DRE and I scheduled it for the next month. Suddenly I received a bill for an ultrasound (which I never had). Called the office 5 times and no one seems to want to explain to me how here is a record of an ultrasound with my name on it when I NEVER HAD ONE!!! read more

This is a urology warehouse. Impersonal care, rude front desk staff, impossible appointment scheduling process. They appear to have outsourced the scheduling staff to another country with operators who have thick accents that make them difficult to understand. They are a monopoly in the Mid Atlantic area. Making money and providing poor patient service. The problem is there is no where else to go at this point in time. As their reputation begins to suffer, hopefully they will be motivated to make some changes. Right now, they specialize in collecting your money only. read more

This is the most unprofessional place I've ever been to. went to have a kidney stone blasted , woke up from surgery super medicated and i remember a nurse telling me they couldn't find the stone . Which is freakimg crazy , i left with a stent and pain on the complete other side which makes me believe they did the surgery on the wrong side to even begin with .. called them at 7 am here it is 3 with zero call back even though they know I'm still in excruciating pain. Oh and before this I first was admitted in the hospital where they gave me meds , I called this place to get the ketotlac refilled before my surgery and it took the doctor three days to call me back. The doctors seem OK. But they have some serious office issues. The call center didn't understand how to get a doctor a message so I was called two days later. Also, I canceled an appointment a week ahead of time. I was called the date of the appointment and said I never canceled and I would be charged. I told them that I canceled a week ago and they told me that they wouldn't charge me this time because of the confusion. Don't trust their office call staff. very incompetent. Terrible experience. There is no way to call the office..all calls route through a call center in another country. I set up a Telehealth appointment for my wife with a Dr. No Zoom link was ever sent. We called in to ask about the Zoom link and were routed to the call center. They told us we had to reschedule. We grabbed the next available appointment. When we tried to share the feedback about no Zoom link for the initial appointment, we were told that it was our fault because we had rescheduled. The Dr. never wrote the prescription that he told my wife she needed. When she tried to drive into the office that was LISTED ON THE COMPANY'S CORPORATE WEBSITE, she was told that there were no urologists there...they had all moved. I spent 45 minutes chatting with a call center rep who never found the new address, but said a nurse would call me back. Still waiting for the callback. I was treated incredibly poorly at Chesapeake Urology's Towson office. I arrived exactly on time for my scheduled appointment. I was told that I would have to reschedule because even though my appointment said 11:00, they REALLY meant that I needed to be there at 10:30. Because I wasn't there at 10:30, the front office staff said, the doctor had decided to leave and would not see me. Outrageous! In addition, while I went back and forth with the staff about rescheduling, they told me that I would need to get a series of tests done. The thing is, the physician who referred me to Chesapeake Urology had already had me get these exact tests and had faxed the result to Chesapeake a month earlier. Chesapeake's staff couldn't find any of this, of course. This appointment was for a time-sensitive issue and Chesapeake Urology had already made me wait a month for an appointment. Their decision to bump me was incredibly insensitive and arrogant, and they compounded this by losing my medical information. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

My review was removed because Yelp decided I was talking about the wrong location, even though there are similar reviews. I'll show receipts for the location. Do not remove my experience, especially if I don't get a chance to appeal the decision. Here's the email and my review. "Hello, We're reaching out to let you know that our moderators removed the review you posted to Chesapeake Urology Associates because it didn't look like your content depicted an experience at this location. To learn more, check out our Content Guidelines (https://www.yelp.com/guidelines). Removed Content: Please, do not go here. Keeping this place open is an absolute farce. They are difficult to find and difficult to get to without hitting traffic because of it's Towson location AND there was at least two spots where there was construction bringing 3 lanes of traffic into one lane- which I'm sure they saw on their way in to work. I left an hour early for a 21 min drive according to GPS, but because of all this, I was late. I have blood in my urine and pain in my kidneys from stones moving around up there. They said they were giving me a special/emergency appointment because they were booked 5 weeks out, but I'm minutes late and they immediately dismiss me. This just shows you how little they care about their patients. It's all just a stuck-up money grab. I cannot believe this location is profitable with the amount of people leaving terrible reviews because of their horrible service and ridiculous check-in rules. For the safety of your peers, do not support this business. Regards, The Yelp Support Team San Francisco, California" read more
