The receptionists weren't overly kind. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because of the assistant Amia who was absolutely awesome. I remember her from the other location in Columbia. I did not care for the doctor here at this office, I felt a little bit rushed. After an exhausting time trying to get there, I feel it wasn't worth it to get an urgent appointment. Dr. Megan Lerner treated me for kidney stones. During the consultation, she explained the procedure for removing them. She also gave me a link to a video detailing the procedure. I have never received such a complete explanation of a surgical procedure. I was in severe pain, and the nurses and staff were kind and compassionate. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Lerner and her entire team. read more

Dr. Robertson has been amazing since I started coming here a little over a year ago. He is friendly and patient and takes the time to discuss all of your concerns. He is not so quick to prescribe medication or adjust doses which I love because most doctors hand drugs out like candy these days. I hate taking medicine unless it is absolutely necessary. I know many other people who have used Dr. Robsertson (males and females) and they have nothing but great things to say. The office staff has always been professional and the office is beautiful and clean. There is plenty of parking right outside the building and it is in a convenient location right off Route 100. A relative of mine had cancer several years ago, it returned and they had to have radiation last year, and they are monitored by Dr. Lowentritt in Towson. Today after a significant health scare, we called to get an emergency appointment. The only location that could see him today was in Hanover. We drove from Timonium at rush hour and were actually relieved to arrive barely ten minutes late. Upon arrival at the desk, Ally Gordon, PA-C, approached the receptionist asking where her patient was. The vibes were clear - it was after 3:30 and they close at 4 PM. I said he was right here, but in the restroom. She called us back and was visibly irritated that the patient had just used the restroom (after a one-hour drive and it's urological related). She escorted him to the restroom again to get a UA and told a co-worker that her patient was late. Right in front of him and not in a joking way. Once in the exam room, she didn't give him an examination. She only talked to him for less than ten minutes. She said his problem was probably from getting his Covid and flu shots this morning (any studies show those to cause profuse bleeding and passing of blood clots during urination?) or maybe it was cystitis from post radiation (that he had a year and a half ago?). She then asked if he'd had sex that morning and made a face like raising her eyebrows, joking. It was embarrassing for him. Not funny and inappropriate. She said he's fine, not to worry about a thing, and to have happy holidays. As we were leaving, I overheard her telling a co-worker she was ready to go home a while ago. Unimpressed and not confident with the diagnosis of "you're fine," we returned home after another hour drive to leave messages for his PCP and cancer specialist. Because, just maybe, things aren't "fine." read more

I tried out this Urologist due to the reputation of one of their doctors. I was completely shocked by how poorly I have been treated by the office staff and by the lack of follow up after there was an issue with my insurance. I had to call back multiple times, no follow up when a staff member said they would follow up and I had to go to their Columbia office to get what I needed from samples until the Hanover office got me a prescription ..... that took the Hanover office over 7 days to help me. And it was a whole month before they worked out the issue with my insurance company due to a clerical error on their part. I highly suggest you go anywhere else. I will be trying the Columbia office in hopes that I'm treating with by a more thorough and kind doctors office. I had high hopes.... They were dashed. Today is my last appt here and it's going pretty badly- waiting approx 30 minutes so far... wish me luck that I get out of here having been cared for! read more

Davalos is the most reckless arrogant doctor in the country. My sister went in for a kidney stone at 24 years old that was causing constant infections, she even went into sepsis and almost died. This egomaniac scheduled surgery to remove it and afterward we find out he "couldn't find a stone" so instead he put in a stent and told her he would remove it after 4 weeks. This was 6 weeks ago. She has been to the ER twice because of infection spikes and he hasn't even so much as called to check in on her. We called to schedule a visit and he said he wouldn't see her until he's ready to take the stent out. He's could not care less and it is evident. She is about to get her third midline for antibiotics because her body is now resistant to everything else. She just got another round of tests done including an ultrasound which showed a 4mm calcification that Davalos somehow missed. My 24 year old sister is slowly dying and if something happens to her he is going to be held responsible for this negligence. read more

Dr. Davolos performed surgery on my daughter and she got an infection that almost killed her and he was unavailable. When she called to let him know he wouldn't see her. Since then she's been hospitalized twice and he still has not made an attempt to check his work. Thankfully another doctor gave a second opinion and prescribed antibiotics and has been monitoring her blood levels and cultures which may have saved her life. We now have to go to another urologist to make sure the procedure he performed didn't worsen her condition, and needs to be reversed. This is recklessness and negligence at best. read more

My surgery was absolutely terrible. I felt everything. My follow up appointments were met with poor attitude and disrespect especially from the nurse practitioner. She walked in the door and immediately played the blame game and had an attitude. I just wanted to hear medical fact and a solution. I paid $40 to have my privates touched and got talked to like I was a child... felt like my ex wife.... Did she want to leave early, did the guy before me give her hell, does she hate her job, does she wish she were a doctor? Who knows but I didn't need to be treated like that. I once showed up to my 3rd appointment and was tossed a container and asked to pee in it. I had never had to do that before at the other appointments and wasn't given the heads up before this one. So naturally I didn't have to pee. I tried but then gave the cup back and the lady gave me an attitude "the is a urology appointment, you should know you have to pee in a cup..." this wasn't my first appointment but it was the first time I was asked to pee haha.Pure regrets making my first appointment with this place. This comment is for Chesapeake Urology: I know you are probably screaming "he didn't wear a jock strap!" You are correct, I thought my underwear were tight enough. I ended up ordering some 2 days later. The problem I have with you is your staffs attitude and professionalism. read more

If the time comes that these services are needed, this office has taken great care of my family member. The doctors are kind and compassionate. When cases are serious, they are honest and specific. It's been a while since I've been here but I highly recommend anyone who has kidney stones to go here and see Dr Davalos!! He's incredible! I had a golf ball sized kidney stone and had to have PCNL to remove it. He did an amazing job! My favorite part is it was tubeless PCNL which makes a huge difference as far as recovery. He's a super funny and caring doctor. Did I also mention he is one of the best at kidney stone surgery in the nation! read more

Where to even begin. Firstly, my dad was going in for a procedure. Now, I understand that with the pandemic certain rules are in place, however don't lie to us. My mom asked if she could sit in the surgical waiting room and was told yes. My mom told her that she would be right back and the lady said that when she comes back she could still wait in the waiting room. My mom returns and tells her that she couldn't wait in the waiting room and had to wait in the car. Today was 90 something degrees out, plus we had just driven an hour and a half to get here. Nobody wants to run their gas for a whole hour to two hours waiting for their love one to get done. She should have just told her straight forward that she could not wait and to come back in an hour or so. The next thing is Dr.Dickstein. We have been dealing with this man for 3 years. He is supposed to be helping my father and using him like a lab rat. Now mind you the first year was fine. Then after that, it went down hill. We were hoping that my dad's kidney disease would be getting better. Unfortunately, we keep going back to square one. My dad's doctor is furious with the way he has mistreated my father's condition. This procedure today will be the last and final procedure!! To get this stent replaced. DO NOT DEAL WITH DR.DICKSTEIN. He is a mess!! read more

After taking 2 months to get into see Dr.Dickstien he prescribed a script for 8 pills that would cost $547 after insurance because he didn't want a generic brand! So what my question is if you're trying a new medication why not try a generic! Hope he never needs a urologist and I'm the wife! Probably one of the worst experiences you can have. First, any time you call them, get ready to hold for 15-20 minutes. It's always "due to higher call volume", but if it's always higher call volume, why don't they make adjustments? Second, they asked for a redundant blood test. They took blood at the office, then wrote an order to draw blood at LabCorp. After calling 4 times, holding each time for 15-20 minutes, talking to different "operators" trying to verify whether it was indeed a duplicate order, finally they determined they duplicated the order. Third, the doctor was almost annoyed with my questions. He just didn't seem to care. I don't need him to be smiling and happy, but just didn't really show any concern. Watch out when you go there for all the tests and exams they want to run. For them, it seems to be about maximizing profit. Definitely will never return and would not recommend any one to go there. read more

I would never go here again! Yes the office is nice but that's about it. 3 visits for nothing! Except charge me for something that of course was not covered by my insurance. So hundreds of dollars for them just to keep referring me to more specialists!! They are supposed to be the specialist! I would never refer them to anybody read more
