My son-in-law heard about my problem and suggested I try his chiropractor to see if I could get relief. He swears by him! Because I had not had good success in the past with chiropractors, I reluctantly called for an appointment with Dr Block. From the moment I walked in to his office, I was amazed at the friendly nature of his staff and how quickly Dr Block put me at ease. It has taken 5-6 adjustments but I can finally stand up and also touch my toes with not much effort. I would recommend Dr Block to anyone with chiropractic issues. Bill Lassiter

I'll spare you the details except for this last visit (on a Monday). Went in with sciatica. I was in extreme pain, couldn't stand straight up, and had to stop several times to rest between my car and his office. He said sciatica and prescribed prednisone. We discussed pain killer/muscle relaxer but nothing prescribed. He said his #1 priority was his patients. He said to call him if I needed anything. Well, the prednisone didn't do much. I couldn't sleep at all due to pain. Moving around the house and doing basic tasks were impossible. Called his office Tuesday and nurse said that she would talk to the doc and get back to me. Nothing heard. Called again Wednesday at 7am when they open and again at 1200. Same response from nurse. Nothing heard back. Called Thursday again with same message from nurse. But they finally called back late Thursday and said the Doc doesn't prescribe pain killers but will prescribe muscle relaxers. I picked up the scrip Thursday eve and had first dose At 6pm. No help whatsoever. Pain was still terrible so went to ER Thursday night. Hadn't slept all week. PA at hospital said to stop the prednisone and prescribed Valium and ibuprofen. It works! Doc Amabile isn't worth the effort and his staff seem unorganized and uncaring. I am curious if he will call at some point to see how I'm doing but I highly doubt that will happen.

I had a pain in my upper back which spread to my neck and shoulder region. I dealt with pain for about 2 weeks before I called to schedule an appointment and then I had to wait for the following week because Dr Joe was out of town. When I finally made it to my appointment I was in a tremendous amount of pain. I explained to Dr Joe what I did to cause the pain (workout injury) and from there he started asking me questions to get to the root cause of the problem. The first thing he tried I felt relief. Once he finished and made some minor adjustments I had the electric therapy. Immediately leaving the office I felt better and 2 days later the pain disappeared. The following week I caused yet another work out related pain and it just so happened I was scheduled for a follow up visit so he was able to help me out again lol. What I really appreciated was Dr Joe took the time to explain to me how I should be doing the exercise and why I was most likely causing the myself pain. I took his advice and now a week later I am still pain free. I will go back for a few more visits and then for some routing visits after that.
