I am 51 years old and have never had any dental problems until my recent out-of-nowhere root canal issue. Because I noticed some of my enamel falling out of the bottom of my upper back tooth, and this was a total alarming surprise for someone who has otherwise good teeth, I decided to walk into Cherrydale Smiles, only a few blocks from where I live, and they took me immediately as a new patient. I was pleasantly surprised. Shelly, who runs the establishment, was friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and professional throughout, and I was immediately given an X-Ray as a new patient on which the infected gum was discovered. The excellent Dr. Deion Huang (who I highly recommend) immediately jumped into action, and, causing NO pain during the entire procedure, scraped/cleaned/removed the dangerous/offending material off of the tooth/gum. He then immediately deduced that I would need a root canal. Dr. Huang saved my tooth, in effect. Shelly was able to find me someone that same day (the equally excellent Bloom Dental), less than a mile away and also in Arlington, who would take me to do the root canal, and for a fair market price as well. I was paying out of pocket for this, so her help was incredibly appreciated. Shelly/Dr. Huang's staff are also great. All are very patient and helpful, and explain what is transpiring in any detail you need. I highly recommend Cherrydale Smiles, on 3565 Lee Highway (now called 3565 Langston Blvd.--it's the same road) in Arlington, Virginia for all your dental needs. 5 out of 5 gold stars ! --Matt C. read more
