I took my child here for a simple visit regarding GI issues. Before coming in, I called the office…read moreand specifically asked about the total cost of the visit since I was paying out of pocket. I was quoted $120 over the phone. When I arrived, I confirmed this amount multiple times with the front desk and was repeatedly assured that the total cost for the appointment would be $120 -- nothing more. During the visit, the pediatrician ordered a lab test. At no point did anyone mention that this would incur an additional, separate charge from an outside lab, nor was I told what the test would cost. There was also no disclosure of this on checkout. This was after I had repeatedly asked about the price of the visit and told the employees that I was paying out of pocket. Weeks later, I received a ~$900 bill from the lab. Naturally, I called the office and spoke with the owner. Instead of showing any professionalism or accountability, she was impatient, combative, and dismissive. When I pointed out that her staff misrepresented the costs and failed to disclose the lab fees, she flatly said, "We're not going to pay your bills." She offered no solution and insisted that they had no responsibility to inform patients about incurring additional costs. She claimed that she could "ask the lab" to lower the fee -- which is obviously meaningless. I addressed the bill directly with the lab, but this office has zero transparency, poor communication, and no sense of responsibility for misleading their patients. They advertise a family-friendly practice yet operate with deceptive billing and an appalling lack of professionalism. If you're paying out of pocket or simply expect honest communication about costs, stay away from this clinic. I will never return and would strongly advise other parents to look elsewhere.

Five stars to Dr. Punjani! She is an incredible physician and beautiful person!…read more Dr. P. is a pediatrician in in Charleroi. Since I've had my children with her, she has many times, taken them in suddenly, and many times on super short notice. She is very smart, very thorough and cares! She cares so much that she is not ashamed to voice her opinion on the state of medicine and what a shame the medical field has become. Dr. Punjani isn't not like a rock star with many barriers to protect her from having to acknowledge her patients needs. She makes herself available. Dr. P. does not just take your children's blood pressure and rush you out. She listens, and looks deeper into child and parent's concerns. The office is not much to look at, but it is close to home, and what I look for in a physician is intelligence, caring, availability, and competence. She is all that...plus. Her staff is also very friendly. They are not your typical miserable, sour faced women hiding behind the glass, who hate their job and are prepared to scold anyone who dares approach the window. I have disappointingly put my trust into 2 local pediatricians in the past. I was sad that my children had years to go before they can experience a good, caring doctor such as mine (Dr. Shroff) and for a minute, I accepted that a good, competent, and caring pediatrician is impossible to find...at least in this area, and I accepted that I will have to wait until they are 18 to get one. I thank my coworker and girlfriend for telling me about Dr. Punjani, and I thank Dr. Punjani for taking my babies as patients!

A pediatrician's office is supposed to be a partner for families throughout childhood, but the care and attitude here have completely changed since the practice was bought out. What used to feel supportive now feels cold, disorganized, and dismissive. Phone calls are confusing and unhelpful. The online system is clunky. Simple requests like filling out a camp form turned into wasted hours because of their rigid policies and errors. The staff no longer guide or support parents. Instead, you have to guide them through what should be their job. The final straw was my son's recent appointment. Scheduled for 2:10, I left work early, pulled him out of school, fought through construction and parking, and walked in only a couple of minutes later. Their own staff delays checking me in pushed us over their supposed cutoff. Instead of compassion or an apology, I was met with indifference and told to reschedule. No acknowledgment of the effort or disruption to my family. Just a cold refusal. After years of loyalty, I am disgusted by how little they seem to care about kids and families now. I used to recommend this office to everyone. Today, I would strongly warn others to look elsewhere.

We first met Dr. Jabbour in the NICU of Magee Women's Hospital where I delivered my son (which was not Children's Hospital, where Dr. Jabbour is based out of) and from the very first meeting with us, he remembered details like our names, our son's exact condition, he recognized my grandfather, and it even turned out that he and our baby's PCP are friends from medical school and our PCP takes his own kids to see Dr. Jabbour. I'm not sure what more I can really say about him...he was professional every step of the way, he was gentle and kind with our baby, he gave us much needed confidence in his ability to "fix" our son and came through with flying colors. He has amazing bedside manner and whether he was dealing with dad and I or our son himself, he was always sweet, kind, and wonderful. Dr. Jabbour made what began as a terrifying and unexpected situation into something that my husband and I actually felt we could manage...and we did. On October 27th, Dr. Jabbour performed our son's furlough palate repair and did such an amazing job that we actually got to leave the hospital after only one night when 95% of patients sleep over for two nights. We have a follow-up on the 12th coming up and to be honest, I am a little sad that we won't be seeing him as part of our routine doctor visits anymore. On the other hand, I am eternally grateful to him for treating my son with such tender, loving care and I hope to never have to deal with an issue related to my son's (former) cleft palate. If you find yourself in need of a pediatric ENT doctor or have a child with a cleft lip or palate, I'd highly recommend requesting that Dr. Jabbour be part of your cleft team. He is a skilled surgeon, a kind and gentle man, and someone who truly excels at what he does...I know I could never do the job he does, but I hope that the gratefulness he receives from both parents and patients alike makes it that much more worthwhile to him. I created this account specifically to write a review about this Dr. and I really hope it goes through because Dr. Jabbour deserves the respect, recognition, and our everlasting thanks for all that he has done to change our baby's life.
