I know that might sound a little odd, and I don't mean that it was empty, but there was nothing worth even looking at, no less purchasing. That said I wouldn't not go in another branch, but one, this particular shops was a mess and two, it was not forthcoming in the children's school shirts department for which, we visited in there in the first place! My intention is not to put anybody off all Matalans, as it's not a bad place for basic essentials like cheap hosiery, however be sure to only pop into this one if you have exhausted all other resources.

So, I'd say its 2 stars for selection, but an additional star for being less packed. The women's clothes selection is quite small, and the shoe selection is downright sparse. There's a better selection of sunglasses in this location, and we found some nice childrens book sets for boys and girls. Generally, I'd say to do your core shopping at nearby H&M and Next, and then stop in to TK Maxx if you have a little more time and money to kill on the off chance you find something you like.

Popping up out of nowhere and landing on Bermondsey Street is this beautiful little clothes shop…read more It was a black chiffon and feather dress that stole my attention, and once inside I was by no means disappointed. The delicately feminine silk, knit and lace clothes are hung beautifully alongside a number of jewellery pieces and bags. My favourite touch however, are the handwritten price tags "one hundred and twenty five pounds", so simple but so unlike all other shops. As you can guess Pussy Willow is not cheap, but it is beautiful, as for the little dachshund curled up on a cushion, that is enough to make anyone's heart melt.
