I am going to tell you a few of my skills.. Just a few!! 1.) WHEN YOU GO IN GET A BASKET OR TROLLEY (it always best to put everything you find in there) 2.) GET THERE EARLY!! (You are more likely to get a few treasure.) 3.) START FROM ONE AREA AND WORK YOUR WAY DOWN THE STORE 4.) IF YOU LIKE IT PUT IN YOUR BASKET OR TROLLEY STRAIGHT AWAY..!! (sort them out later.) 5.) DON'T LEAVE YOUR BASKET OR TROLLEY, YOU WELL GET SOME PEOPLE DIPPING THEIR HANDS IN..!! TRUST ME!!! 6.) ALWAYS TRY THEM ON BEFORE YOU BUY..!!! I can't tell you anymore my sister in laws will not be happy...sorry! Happy shopping ;-)

I normally go to the Lewisham TK Maxx since it's nearly door to door by bus. Today, we decided to…read moretry this location since Lewisham Mall has a tendency to get a bit crowded on the weekends. So, I'd say its 2 stars for selection, but an additional star for being less packed. The women's clothes selection is quite small, and the shoe selection is downright sparse. There's a better selection of sunglasses in this location, and we found some nice childrens book sets for boys and girls. Generally, I'd say to do your core shopping at nearby H&M and Next, and then stop in to TK Maxx if you have a little more time and money to kill on the off chance you find something you like.

Regulars sitting by the bar, talking a bit tho loud, enjoying each other's company and tipping pints. A fair size u shaped bars with many bar tenders manning the many chooses of golden elixir. A solid row of hand drawn tap handles.. Chalk boards with the options of the day Tables and chairs that don't match. People really enjoying their time. Lucky to go on a Sunday for their infamous top beef dinner with all the fixings... Staff is great. Beer was awesome and options plentiful. Food was excellent.

If you are shopping in the area, do not miss it. I absolutely love The Mercantile. It's one of my favorite shops in London to poke around in and enjoy. The collection strikes a very delicate balance of nice, but not overly spendy. You can easily find a few things that will increase your joy, but not deplete your bank account. Mostly women's clothing and accessories (jewelry, shoes, scarves, etc) but also a fair amount of home goods (candles, frames, bits and bobs). What is the stand out factor? The sheer number of items. You know those shops you go into that are SO BEAUTIFUL, but like, there are about 8 items in the store. You know in about 8 seconds if you want to stay in there or not, usually not. Well, the Mercantile is the opposite. There are things EVERYWHERE. Hanging from the walls, stashed in corners, piled in cute heaps, everywhere. You could look for hours and I guarantee you wouldn't have seen everything. It's like a treasure hunt. So enjoyable. DO NOT MISS THE BASEMENT. That's where all my finds come from. Brave those steep stairs and get your soon-to-be-more-stylish self down there. My most recent visit yielded: *Herschel bag (half off, now £28!), which has made me a much hipper mum (using as nappie bag!) *Gorgeous scarf -- just £20. Not even on sale, it was just not very high priced. Beautiful. Perfect spot for gift shopping, for others -- or, for yourself! It's a regular on my rotation.
