We paid £500 for a birthday cake for my sons 6th birthday, but what we got for it was a complete embarrassment and a joke, it was supposed to be the centre piece at his birthday party but in the end it was the laughing stock. Not only did it collapse and fall apart it wasn't even what we asked for, what's worse is that the staff and owners at the shop were rude with no customer service skills. They were happy to take a lot of money from us but not so happy to deliver what we paid for. They flat refused to refund ANY money and so we are now in the process of a claim against them. DO NOT USE AT ANY COST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked them not to send anyone, to just issue a refund and that the hotel will try to salvage the cake, given that the event was that same evening and I didn't have enough time to search for other options. Reshmi refused and said they'll not provide a refund unless the cake was collected and "in the same condition as in the photo". Their customer care is just non existent, it was like dealing with an angry child who just wanted to make sure you don't have any viable options for your event. Thankfully 'Cakestreet' rose to the occasion and we ended up with a tasty cake that had a much better theme design. My advice to Anges is to ensure you prioritise your customers over your ego. Zero customer care.

We got off the bus near the Cathedral and had planned to wander round the shops and then stop off somewhere for lunch, and then do the Cathedral. Well, we saw this cute little place and our plans changed. The window display was inviting and there was a spare table outside, so we decided to start our trip with a cupcake. They had a wide selection and it was hard to choose. In the end , I had a Maltesers one and my mum went for lemon curd. To accompany the cake, I had green tea and mum had English breakfast. The tea was loose leaf and was very nice. Some green teas can be a bit bitter but this one was very good. The cupcakes were really nice. We noticed a sign in the window for cupcake decorating classes - a great thing for kids and adults alike. I think this may only be a year old. It seems popular and hope it continues to do well.
