So I messaged them that I had gotten into car accident on 6/17/18 and provided some details about what happened. Yelp says that their response rate is 100% and that they usually respond to a request for consultation within 20 minutes. Michael Chen just happened to have been the lawyer that responded. He called me to ask for more details about what had happened. After hearing my case over the phone, he was admittedly honest about the case being less-than-ideal, all things considered. In fact, he basically just said that the chances of winning the case to get some sort of money out of it was next to nil to sum it up in a nutshell. He didn't outright say that it was not a viable case but I deduced it just based on the information that he gave me and just said it for him, to which he confirmed my deduction. Nevertheless, he did share with me some useful legal advice, useful information, and case scenarios where it may be possible that I can potentially get some money out of it but would have to go through a small claims court to get it, which is a lengthy process that takes a lot of time and money with little to no guarantee that I would come out the victor in the case. Like a doctor, he just said to "prepare for the worst" and that is that I'll have to shell out money for the accident without recourse on the offending party that hit my car. I greatly appreciated the time he took to take my phone call and answer pretty much all the questions that immediately came to mind and asked for his legal advice about what I should do going forward. He said something along the lines that the best case scenario is that my insurance company will decide that the blame is 50/50, at which point, I get something to pay for the damages on my car rather than nothing at all, which is the more likely scenario, if anything. All in all, based on this experience, (while not as good as my experience with Jake Finkel who actually invited me to come down to his office and pay for parking to get a free in-person consultation), I would recommend MIchael Chen for any personal injury and/or car accident legal advice, if you needed to know what would be the best course of action. (The other 4 lawyers that I spoke with just flat out said that I didn't have a viable case and didn't give me any useful information to go off on: El Dabe Ritter Trial Lawyers, Car Accident Lawyer Pros, The Law Office of MIchael Yeung, and West Coast Trial Lawyers.)
