I've even had him make custom nose bands for my bridles and repair tack other places told me couldn't be repaired. He's saved me tons of money over the years!

We ordered two belts which were shipped to us as we live 4 hrs away. I received the belt, it was mediocre quality, but again, it wasn't very expensive, so that's o.k. the color of leather wasn't the same as I had ultimately ordered, but I can see how that could have happened as I had changed my mind...still o.k What's NOT O.K., is I ordered the belt because I needed one to wear to a large out of state horse show as part of my show clothing....I HAVE TO HAVE A BELT TO FIT TO COMPETE IN THIS SHOW. the belt arrived too large. ... (about 8 inches too large) still not upset. I had to be in Tulsa for the competition tuesday. Sunday (yes, they are open Sunday) I took my new, custom ordered, specifically for this show, oversized belt in person to the shop for a quick fix. The guy isn't in, he's in Tulsa, where I'm headed working a different show. What are the odds. But hey, this could work out even better! O.k., I'll just meet him there right? No, he's leaving Monday. O.k., still not his fault. No time (its sunday) to overnight it to him for repair, hes leaving Monday. BUT, I asked if the lady at the shop could measure the appropriate size, and I would order (and pay) for him to make a new belt for me while he is there (again, where I'm headed to compete) that is what he is doing there, he has a vendors booth doing leather repair and making belts. He could leave it there for me at the front desk of my hotel 2.5 Miles from the expo center where he is a vendor. He says he can't do that. ...WHY? They did offer that I leave the LG belt (and my chaps, i was going to ask if he could just move a button over for me)at his store in comfort, he'd be back monday, fix it and overnight it to me in tulsa. Send it to the same hotel where I've asked him to leave it. Mmmmm, no. WHY not just sell me another belt and send to the hotel? How ez is that? I can't risk leaving my belt, and certainly not my chaps, them not arriving in time for my 8 a.m. class wednsday morning and I can't compete. I'd be better off trying to find someone else or putting another hole in the belt and cutting off the end myself!!! I told the lady all of this. She relayed it to the owner currently working in Tulsa. His issue Wasn't that he didn't have time to make a new belt (again, which I would pay for), he said he couldn't leave it there??,? So, I guess he can't leave a belt there for me to pick up that I actually NEED, but he can leave a customer high and dry, S.O.L. for an important event! Really? This was an easy fix.. just make me another, I pay with my c.c. and drop it off 2.5 miles away at my hotel. Instead, he lost a customer. I'm very very disappointed in the customer service and complete lack of common sense. I ordered this belt in plenty of time. If it had been the correct size in the first place there wouldn't be an issue. AND I offered to BUY another,,,he can't drive 2.5 miles to make it right? Shame on them....

It is one of those rough-and-tumble serious cowboy-gear-fixing shops, and here I saunter in with some cutesy narrow high heels. Nonetheless, they got the job done right quick, in a matter of two days. Original cost for heel repair is $12.50 but because I had brought in 4 pairs, he discounted it to $10 a pair. I've heard of other shoe repair shops that charge less, but I figured the cost of driving to Round Rock to save $2/pair wasn't worth it. All in all, good quick job, decent prices, pretty helpful service. It does in a pinch, but like I said my job request was rather simple & straightforward.

After almost 2 months I got my briefcase back with the ugliest leather patch imagineable on it and they said they couldn't emboss it because their tools were too old. I took the briefcase to Capitol Saddlery and the incredibly helpful gentleman quickly embossed the patch while I waited and did a perfect job. After looking at it for a while when I got home, I decided the patch is just too ugly and is ruining my nice briefcase so I ripped off the hideous patch and I plan to return to Capitol Saddlery next week to have them cover up the shoe shop's horrible work. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff!
