If you try to get there early, parking is definitely easier and closer to the Zoo entrance. We got there around 1pn and it was starting to fill up. The good news is that zoo parking is FREE and so is the fee to get in. They ask for a donation and we were happy to provide a donation for such a great experience! I can ony imagine the upkeep for a zoo - - the property upkeep and animal care, the workers, etc. There were so many animals that were already out with many more that are starting to be brought back outside since the weather is getting warmer. Don't miss this treat when you're in Cape May - - or make a special trip alone - -it's great for kids and for people any age! The park is very clean, has plenty of rest rooms, food/drink and also a beatiful playground when you first get to the zoo. The only animals we really missed were the Giraffes. I'm sure they were somewhere -- and they dont really like the cold temps - - I'm sure they'll be back as it warms up. They dont like temps under 50 - - i dont blame them. And don't sleep on the reptiles - - the turtles, frogs, snakes and alligators are waiting for you! All in all, we were there for about 2 hours. I would guess when it's more crowded, it may take a bit longer to get through the exhibits. So go now and have fun before Memorial Day gets here. :)

Hello Everyone ! I am not a rec parent, but a rec aunt! My nephew is a 15 year old boy on one of…read morethe senior boy teams! The championship was today! My sister-in-law is not a fellow yelper but I'm going to help her right this review! The first thing I want to point out is it they told everybody about the championship location the day of. At 10 am. I mean it could be better could be worse‍ just the lack of organization is kind of annoying! Also the championship game was originally for yesterday, 8/7, where mostly everyone, not including myself, but including my nephew, were going to the Zach Bryan Concert at the Linc so fun! I'm glad they decided to reschedule the game so the boys could have fun ! My sister-in-law and I decided to watch the girls game! I wish we did not come to the decision....my first thought is the Hot Pink team was on fire amazing! But then I heard that one of the players is a full time travel team player? What?! This is a recreation league! I really don't remember her name or number I'm sorry all I know is that she made every shot besides 2 the whole game. By half time is was 5-30. I was talking to a girl in the bleachers who used to play. I was wondering if it has always been like this....she said "Absolutely not. At least when I was in intermediate girls. I used to stroll off the beach in a wet bathing suit throw my jersey on on top, put on a pair of Lulu Lemon shorts and walk in with my hair wet. I didn't want to play this year because of how competitive it is." I don't know if the quote on quote directed knows this but...The goals of the Recreational (REC) basketball Divisions are to provide the highest quality fun, positive learning environment for basketball skill and personal character development. Not for a college recruit playing against someone who's there to have fun. It simply isn't fair ‍ If you are playing in a high school team or a travel team go play with your own skill level !! Let the other kids have fun!!! No parent should let their kid do that. They are ruining the game for everyone else!!!!! Then I was told the coach and one of the players are siblings...kind of weird, but okay! Then they told me the sister is a COACH. Are you kidding ??? She also started hysterically crying when she got fouled which is fully pathetic. Your around all your co-workers. Grow up. Also we need those what they call refs to read a rule book because the calls are bizzare! I saw one boy put his hand around another player's neck! Ugh it is so sad how these games have changed. My sister-in-laws kids are not returning !!! MIGHT I ADD ITS 250 DOLLARS AND THE COACHES KEEP THE SAME KIDS IN THE WHOLE GAME. I understand they are college/high schoolers but come on!!! Rec leagues are supposed to be enjoyable ! I hope they get a new director and new coaches because we are at the beach !! We should have fun !!!

Also they don't harass you to death for beach tags in my experience- many times the entrances to the beach aren't staffed with beach inspectors. Lifeguards are excellent and there are snack shacks and of course the mobile "Fudgey Wudgey" ice cream cooler. There is even a great Wawa in town if you are on a budget. Picnicking is not allowed and that is the reason the seagulls aren't out of control. The shops are great! One of my new fave shops is "The Well Dressed Olive". Get here early and don't miss out on the "Bread and Cheese Cupboard" piggy buns or theee "to die for" pepperoni tangy savory bread- cash only (booooo!!!) lots of fun at Hoy's and some junky type souvenirs that are fun n frivolous for all. Don't miss their happening t shirt and sweat shirt collection boasting the Stone Harbor name. Bathrooms are near the water tower in the shopping district. Things in Stone Harbor tend to cost a lot more. Be prepared. This area is crawling with money, so you are going to spend money! I took a one block walk and ran into this Excellent new park in the heart of Wildwood on Pacific and Cedar Avenues. There was an eight piece band playing and the park was crowded with adults and kids all having a great time on this summer evening. There's an advertising board in the park listing upcoming events. Or for information on what bands are playing just visit Wildwood 365. Walking around i saw this park is designed as beautifully as the other parks dotting the the North Wildwood , Wildwood and Wildwood Crest landscapes. What's unique about this park is that its a block and a half off the boardwalk in an area of town that has been under utilized the last 10 years. That's about to change because this park is going to draw families with it's beautiful design, comfortable seating and a Grassy knoll on which to spread out with your blanket and listen to nighttime concerts. Great marketing idea. Way to go Wildwood!!!

Because I've been there before, I'm on their stupid mailing list for "promotions" and *HARDCORE DR. EVIL AIRQUOTES* "discounts." SO, we decide to head back one day because it is a decent water park for our little one, and I see in my inbox that they are offering discounted, sorry, "discounted," tickets if you buy online. The advert mentions the price is $25.... SIKE! Gotcha, dummies. No...the price for the day we were trying to go, which was a damn Thursday, btw, was $48. But wait; what about those $25 tickets, I hear you asking. They are only for certain, specific days. Looking at the calendar, it appears that Sunday is the day with the $25 dollar tickets. "Ok, we'll just go Sunday then," says the Misses, optimistically. Wrong again. I go today to look at the SUNDAY tickets, and they are now $28 dollars. "That sucks," I hear you begin to say, "but that's still cheaper than if you buy regular price." Oh, you sweet summer child......The $28 is ONLY available if you buy online, but when you go to check out, Splash Zone chargers a, and I quote, "Online Recovery Fee," basically to recoup some of the cost of the "discounted" ticket. SO, the advertised price of $25 per ticket, which turned into $28 per ticket, is now actually $31per ticket. I HAVE to go, because of how my marriage is set up, but I hope Splash Zone enjoys my last time ever visiting their park.
