Zoe was my lash artist and she was phenomenal, I've never had a better job done. There was some miscommunication that was handled SO well instead of getting upset or fussy, and THAT is proper interaction. 10/10 would recommend this salon for lashes/haircuts/hair colouring. I finally found a stylist here that does an INCREDIBLE job with my hair colour. She is the first one I have found that is able to achieve the look I have been trying to get for many many years. And, to top it all off, she is extremely professional, nice, kind, and talented. In fact, all the staff I have interacted with her are inviting and hospitable. The salon is lovely as well - it feels comfortable, it's an Aveda salon so they have good quality hair colour, and they use all the yummy smelling products that can only be mistaken as Aveda. There is even a bowl of fruit and candies if you get a hungry stomach in the middle of your foils. And the cost is right where it should be. I highly recommend this salon...even if it is another province away (it feels like). But, like the commercial says, "You're worth it".

I went to the register to pay and was blown away to find out she charged me $35 for that quick trim... I payed $35 for the toner with an extra $35 for the trim she insisted on... with taxes it came up to $75 dollars, I still tipped $5, although I was unhappy and didn't want to... I walked out of there having spent $80, and she didn't even style or blow out my hair..... it was still wet at some parts The stylist should have told me at the time of suggesting the trim that it would cost $35 insisted of surprising me with it at the till later. I expressed my surprise at the extra amount to the owner, hoping she would come up with some solution, but nothing. Being surprised at the till with double what you expected to pay... and leaving with no style or blow out done to my hair is just bad service. Being a mother of two small kids I do not have time to style my hair at home, or to go to salon often for that matter. So having payed $80 I would expect my hair to be at least styled. I will not be going back there or recommending this place further.

However, then she constantly kept saying it like it was a chore "Wow this is never ending". She said it so much that I literally had to tell her that it is my hair and I like it the way it is. It really made me feel like I should feel bad for her to do her job. THEN I also was going to get my hair styled and I was VERY specific that I want LOOSE curls. And what did she do? She gave me these tight goldy locks looking curls when I told her I had a reception to attend that evening. I couldn't even fix it when I got home. Nancy was clearly uncomfortable working with me, after overhearing her comments I'm inclined to think, it's because I'm not white. Overall, Dawn was pretty nice, but her staff need some customer service and etiquette training.
