Now that my father passed away, out of state, and Mom has moved into Macomb County, she needed to update her paperwork as well, into Michigan Law, and highly recommended Buzz. In Mom's words, "he organized things really well and explained everything so I understood". There was no pressure to go down a particular path. Buzz does take the time to explain as much as you want explained and gives you whatever level of details that you want. He will explain what happens if you do "this" as well as what could happen if you do not. We found him easy to deal with, punctual, and efficient. I do not like sounding as such a fanboy, but there was nothing to complain about. Disclaimer: no compensation/service was offered for this review in any way, shape or form for this review.

I knew I…read morewas in trouble when Kellen Elliott (the lawyer they assigned me) stated "oh, it's been a while since I've done one of these"....really???? Then why are you here???? Not too encouraging. Needless to say, I had a 30 minute consultation with her which left me more confused then when I got there, got a bill for $250, which was paid immediately, and now Kellen refuses to return my calls. I told the secretary it's common courtesy to return a call and inform me she can't or wont do the case. I'd have more respect for someone if they did that...but I still haven't heard back from her. I don't know about the rest of the firm, but don't waste your time with (Attorney???) Kellen Elliott, she'll rip you off for sure.

My elderly, widowed mother unfortunately chose the Fazio Law Firm to prepare both her power of…read moreattorney and her will. On June 6, 2025, my mother passed away after seven days in palliative care. Following her passing, I contacted Michaela Fazio to inform her of the death and to request a copy of my mother's will. This marked the beginning of a series of interactions with Ms. Fazio that I found deeply distressing and frankly, unprofessional. At a minimum, one would expect a basic level of professionalism and compassion from a lawyer when dealing with a grieving family member, especially in the immediate aftermath of a loss. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Obtaining my mother's original will also proved to be unnecessarily difficult. Further, even though my mother had already paid for the service, I was charged extra for certified copies that I did not need. The process was extremely stressful and upsetting during an already difficult time. For anyone who must deal with Ms. Fazio, I strongly recommend communicating exclusively by email and keeping records of all correspondence. Do not rely solely on telephone conversations, as verbal assurances were not always followed through in my experience. I noticed another review on Yelp from a woman who described similar unprofessional conduct from this firm following the death of her loved one in May 2025. Sadly, it appears my experience is not an isolated one. Before selecting a lawyer, I encourage others to research client reviews online and verify whether the lawyer has been subject to any disciplinary actions by the Law Society of Ontario, as these are important indicators of credibility and professionalism. There are many excellent, compassionate and ethical lawyers in Sarnia who uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise choosing one of them instead of Michaela or Frank Fazio.

If your in the need for trust or estate work, I quite frankly would recommend no one else. Mr…read more Wallace writes a regular column in the Times Herald on these topics, and has practiced law for several years in the area. This is a "dot i's/cross t's" kind of practice - they don't miss much of anything, and are absolute bulldogs when it comes to keeping up on the regular changes in legislation, etc. that effect estate law. The only negative - as with most lawyers - is the expense; but this is also truly a "get what you pay for" situation. As someone who has seen the ease that this firms work can do when a relative passes, I assure you it's money well spent.
