My rates were increased year after year, even with NO claims and no traffic violations. I made several calls asking for someone to explain the increases. It was typical to have to call them back or they would tell me they would look into it. Long story short, I found local competitor that saved me OVER $2000.00 per year on my homeowners and auto combined! The bulk of it being auto ins. The Duncan agency clearly did not work in my best interest and I feel as though I was robbed of hard earned money for years. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

Edwards, and left when Wells Fargo bought them out because they didn't feel that the new company was properly taking care of its clients. It's no coincidence that Stifel's headquarters is also in St. Louis, former home of AG Edwards as well.....but I digress. As far as this specific location and it's staff, I've been with one of their brokers for 26 years now, and have ridden highs and lows in the market with him. He's always been a very straight shooter, and when I've needed research on particular investment opportunities, he's always been very dedicated to getting me the information I need. In short, I would use no one else in the community but the folks at Stifel for my investment needs.

I was trying to have my file moved to a more convenient office for me and to avoid any further conflict with James, only to be harassed a week later for filing a complaint against him. Jerry has yet to call me back and my file has yet to be transferred. The customer service, specifically by James, is terrible. He was condescending, verbally abusive and rude on the phone to us multiple times. We have been with this company for about 10 years and it was always great until having to work with James from the Swartz Creek office. He has no respect for his customers or good customer service. They treat their employees and customers horribly. I would not recommend using this business for your insurance needs, you can get just as good value at another insurance company.
