I'll never forget coming around the corner along the highway and seeing Morris BBQ, with a crowd out in front. I love East Carolina BBQ, and Morris has the best I've ever had. Then on another site someone complained when they came they were being disrespectful to the flag (I did not see it, just read about it), but we live in Navy and Marine territory and I found it disrespectful to the people they want as customers and to whom I very much respect. This was the most different part for me as I'm from Indiana and have never had vinegar based sauce. All in all it was very good and I completely understand why it has been a community staple.

Yet this Christian gentleman invited us in for coffee and cheese biscuits and gave us a pint bottle of his E.NC Q splash and of course refusing any money. What is mostly lost in America today is found here with Larry in this little crossroad town at Bums. People like Mr. Dennis restores ones faith that there is still decency and civility left in our country and that America is gonna be alright.
