The quality and preparation of the ribeye are well above most restaurant standards. Don't miss it! I also enjoy just stopping in for a drink. I have struck up conversations at the bar with perfect strangers, while enjoying one of the signature cocktails (don't miss the Minnesota Old Fashioned). Be sure to make a reservation. This is the one mistake you can make at the Boat Club. With a restaurant of this quality, you cannot assume there will be an open table for a walk-up.

I've also been on a Friday night where it's packed and standing room only. I had a BLT with sweet potato fries. The BLT was huge and had ~5 pieces of bacon! It came on cranberry wild rice bread and I was given the option of Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip. Burgers and sandwiches come with chips or you can add fries for $1.50, sweet potato fries for $2.50, Cole slaw for $0.75, or onion rings for $3.0 extra. The sweet potato fries have vanilla seasoning and were nice and crispy! My group had burgers that were substantial and well-cooked. They had regular fries on the side that were fresh cut and crispy. The portions were so big that next time, I'd split an entree. Burgers and sandwiches were ~$10, appetizers were $3-$12, sodas were $2, and beers varied by tap but I believe craft beers were $6. They had local taps including the Castle Danger Cream Ale - yum! The location is charming and kitchy. They're along a snowmobile trail, have plenty of parking, and have clean bathrooms. Their bar seats 15-20 and they have an additional ~10 tables in a dining area. It's not fancy so come as you are. They have a stage area and sometimes have live music. They also have a pool table and a digital tunes juke box so you can pay to pick the tunes. It's really great and worth stopping in for a beer and burger!
