We hired Chef Debby to cater an 80th birthday dinner for my Irish father-in-law in our home. Debby was so responsive from the moment I emailed her. She sent me many menus to choose from, and I also leveraged her website for additional ideas. She was so helpful through the whole process of creating a menu and kept me informed of what she needed from me and what I should expect the day of the event. Our menu included 3 passed appetizers (ahi tuna on wonton crisp, margarita pizza and artichoke/potato latkes with smoked salmon), a citrus/beet/mozzarella salad, and pre-selected entrée (signature lamb with pomegranate molasses glaze, miso salmon, or angel hair pasta) chosen by our 20 guests. Not only were her dishes beautifully presented, most importantly, they were flavorful, delicious, and cooked to perfection! The sides were even spectacular. We decided to hire Chef Debby for our at home Wedding in February 2021. We could not have been more happy with the results. She was absolutely wonderful to work with from start to finish. We had to re-evaluate our plans on the fly due to covid and restaurants not being able to cater. Due to this we researched local private chefs and Debby came highly recommended. We hired Debby to cater our romantic Valentines dinner this year and I am so happy we did!! Debby emailed me an incredible array of food choices, it was hard to narrow down but Debby is so friendly and easy to work with and we came up with a great menu on the phone. We had a sit down dinner for 18. I gave my guests a choice of 2 entrees, one beef and one fish. We finalized the menu in time for her to do ordering and shopping. I decided to use Chef Debby last night for my wife's birthday. It turned out great. Chef Debby arrived promptly as promised and immediately began to prepare the dinner that both she and I put together based upon my wife's favorites. The appetizers were ahi tartare in cucumber cups with a second being a delicious shrimp cocktail. A fantastic arugula and baby field green with Bosc pear salad was next. The came the main course. I knew that my wife loved lamb chops and scallops and couldn't decide. Debbie suggested let's do both and we did. The entree was wonderful. It was accompanied by asparagus and herb roasted baby potatoes. The grand finale was a yummy dessert of vanilla ice cream topped with caramel and fresh raspberries. Everything could not have been more perfect. Chef Debby cleaned everything up and left our kitchen spotless. The surprise dinner could not have been any better. I met with Debby to discuss how to accommodate my wife's request for a "BIG PARTY". Not only did we discuss food, she was very insightful about how the party could "flow" through the house and how to set things up outside. When it was time to review the menu, we were very impressed by Debby's knowledge of what would be "just right" based on what my wife described. Debby and her staff arrived and took charge of the kitchen and got the party started. My house smelled INCREDIBLE with all the cooking and they treated my home with respect and professionalism. The appetizers (passed by her wonderful staff) were perfect in taste and timing. There were appetizers on the table to start with but once the majority of our guests arrived, we were consistently offered passed appetizers by her smiling helpers. In addition, Debby provided a really great bartender who was more than attentive, he was "connected" to the feel of the party. He mixed what was requested and also made suggestions to those who weren't sure what they wanted to drink (like me). Debby oversaw everything, making sure there was consistency in the serving process, quality and presentation of the food! When dinner was ready to be served, EVERYONE lined up for this fabulous meal.
