The asked for a picture of my mom for the menu and I was curious as to how the menu was going to look. TPCE had great reviews and the food looked good, so I wasn't too worried that we wouldn't like it. I am happy to report that the food and the experience was more amazing than I expected!! We could have never gotten this Michelin starred quality experience without a multi thousand dollar price tag at a Miami restaurant. The Chefs came with everything they needed, plates, utensils, decorations, napkins. I believe the would've done drinks as well, but I already created my own cocktail. The portion sizes for the entrees were more than enough and were beautiful. The dessert was too beautiful too eat. The best part of the whole experience was connecting with the Chefs. Chef Lexx and Chef Winston have great things ahead of them! It was so amazing to hear how far they've come in such a short time and to hear about where they plan on going. It was amazing to know that we were able to support a small black owned business reach their goals. TPCE worked with our budget and was a great value! I guarantee you would not get the same experience with going out. Can't wait to do this again!

We had Char-Hut catering visit our office this week for an employee appreciation lunch…read more From ordering over the phone with Anthony, with lots of recommendations and appropriate ordering sizes, to the day of the BBQ, all was efficient and fairly priced. They cook on site! They bring the grill with them and started cooking about 2 hours before showtime. All of our employees loved it. From setting out over 10 condiments, all the meat (we chose hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, and chicken breasts), bread, sides (we chose vegetarian baked beans, corn on the cob, and cole slaw), plates, serving trays/tongs, utensils...They take care of everything. They even watch over the buffet table, refilling when necessary, and keeping it tidy. For the record, we opted to have our own coolers full of drinks and bought a sheet cake at Publix. It's the Char-Hut that many in South Florida grew up on. So good! Everything was fresh, clean, and delicious. Very professional team. Thank you Anthony and Kim for making it a special day at the office. Hope to do it again soon!!! Highly recommend if you want a casual BBQ (without having to cook!) in the Broward area.

I was blown away by the ease with which we were able to communicate with the catering service and how they took over all the details and logistics of providing the food and service for our event. We gave them an estimate for how many people were expected to attend and the location of the meeting and they took care of everything else. Anthony and Kim arrived exactly when they said they would with warm, delicious, prepared food and helped set up the serving table- Anthony even helped us keep the food warm until it was time to serve. The pace for the whole evening was set by the timeliness, kindness and professionalism of the Char-Hut catering staff and the entire event was a huge success. Thank you, Char-Hut, for being a friend to the local veterans' community and the stellar service you provided for our event. I would give them 6 stars if I could. If you need food catering, Char-Hut is the way to go.

If you check out their website- they have a list of what is on that week's cooking school menu. You call and make a reservation and give your credit card number over the phone. When you look at the offerings, the ones that say "hands on" are the ones where you are actually chopping, frying, boiling etc. I've also been to sessions here where it is more of a lecture and you just listen and the pros cook. On my most recent adventure- my friends and I chose the "Chinese New Year Celebration" menu which included pork dumplings, salmon wraps, Mongolian beef, longevity noodles and a sweet pancake for dessert. The price without alcohol for this was $85. They also have alcohol available for purchase. What's really nice is after you have cooked all of the food at the various stations, the experts take it in the back, plate it, and then serve it to you at communal tables. About 10 people showed up, all eager to cook so strangers are not strangers for long! It starts at 6pm and we were done around 9. There is plenty of paid street parking just north of the location. I would highly recommend this as a fun night out! I'm already seeing what is next on her list of classes!
