I got a few pastries and it was still early enough that they were still warm! The Croissant was probably the best I had on this trip. It helped that the Croissant was fresh and warm, but it was also crispy on the outside and buttery & flaky on the inside. The Pain au Chocolat was also great but it could have used more chocolate for my liking. The Chausson aux Pommes was sweet, slightly acidic from the apples, and definitely heavier of the pastries. I've also never had fresh madeleines before and knew this would be the place to try them. The Madeleine Glacée were buttery and lightly sweet; these actually go so well with a cup of coffee or just a bite if you need a quick snack. All in all, great try!

Visited early on a Wednesday, one of two small tables outside available to sit away from rain, choices trend traditional from Madelines to Viennoiserie including a fairly good Pain au Raisin and Almond Croissant free of Frangipane. Celebrated for his Kouign Amann, less tightly formed than others but certainly not lacking for Butter or Sugar, Canele lack the expected crisp exterior while Blé Sucré's "Brest" lacks the signature shape and would better be called a Hazelnut Religeuse instead.

Earlier in the day I was at a bakery that claimed to be the 4th or 5th best bakery in Paris and they definitely delivered! Comparing this places baguette to the bakery from earlier in the day I would have to say this place has a better crust but doesn't have the soft buttery interior the other baguette had. Don't get me wrong it was still fantastic but I definitely liked the other place better. Funny enough I realized that I had been to this bakery years prior after I ate their bread :) Thank you France for making the worlds best bread so that I could enjoy on this trip.

I used to wake up at 6 to go to university and I was lucky enough to grab some breakfast that freshly came out of the oven. This bakery is really cheap! You can have breakfast for 1-3 euros only. Their signature piece is Pain Suisse for only €1.20. If you were in the area you HAVE to try it. You won't find something like it in other pastries. Usually you find a typical Choco Suisse which I honestly do not consider a sufficient breakfast for example. I am a foodie and love to eat, so if I want to have breakfast it needs to be of a proper portion so that I'll be able to survive to lunch. The Pain Suisse is an upgraded more delicious version of the typical choco suisse. Moreover, their baguettes are amazing and they have tasty sandwiches (€ 5-7). During the afternoon you'll find the tiny place packed and people standing in line. Their pastries are have a taste of home. They are close to what you grandma would make which is very rare to find nowadays.
