Acoustical Awesomeness. Rustic elegance in town. What's not to love?…read more I attended a cake tasting at the Four Seasons Columbus last night. It's the first time I stepped into the place. What a gem! From the central stone gas fireplace to the rough hewn wooden ceilings, from the ever-inviting deck overlooking the pond to the hardwood floors in the meeting rooms downstairs, I love everything I saw. I spoke to the musicians that night and they agreed with my assessment. They love the Four Seasons for its acoustics as well. If you have your heart on an event with live music, do the musicians a favor and book this place - it'll make them sound even better and your guests will never want to leave. I'm actively trying to figure out what "event" I personally need to host in order to go back there. It's beautiful, it's comfortable, and between the friendly staff and warm ambiance, it just makes you want to return.

You need to know a few things before considering this venue. We were told one price at contract…read moresigning, then when it came time for the final payment I noticed that it seemed high. They had raised their prices and also charged me for things that were not supposed to be there. It was a LOT of money. They made me send them a copy of the pamphlet that they gave us during our first meeting to prove the price difference! This is so unprofessional. Also, coordinators were young and must have been trained to say, "of course" and "absolutely". That's fine, but after a while, I just want things done as we discussed. Ours (Harper) left the company a few weeks before the wedding, and when I requested a face to face meeting with the new one that we had never met, she said that they normally don't do that, but she would. Um yes. And even though we went through details with her(Mia), there were things that were missed. We specifically asked for no champagne toast, yet flutes were on the tables and they started pouring at 2 tables before I caught them. There were other things, like a non working fridge in the get ready bridal area (so warm drinks), food that was already out when we arrived with flies landing on it, the wrong cross rented from Serendipity, when we specifically asked for the thicker/more substantial one, plastic black hangers left on two of our floral arrangements lining the ceremony aisle (Fiori Florals) and a cake that was NOTHING like we selected. It was on a black stand when we selected gold, we paid $60 extra for pearls and there were maybe 12 on the whole cake, the gold icing was yellow/brown, and it tasted and looked nothing like what we originally ate and chose. To top it off, it was dry and crumbly. We ended up giving it to our hotel staff. Mia did not seem prepared to run a wedding. She sent the MOB down the aisle with an usher walking back, so they had to move to the side. There were good things about the venue, but just be prepared for many things to go wrong. I had every checklist in the world, and it still wasn't enough.

And this was her first birthday party. After I stated my concerns, I was told that "things happen and I have to understand that" Then thenowner Mishalle accused me of "violating the terms of contract" by SMOKING in the facility. A bogus lie. Her staff was onnsite the entire time. They have portable ac units which did not keep a comfortable temperature. My cake was melting. My guests were sweating uncontrollably as well as had their hair ruined. I had expressed to Mishalle that I experienced a central air outage at my baby shower and truly did not want to experience that again. Mishalle was very unaccomodating and I paid $3050. I'm deeply disheartened to share my experience with White Willow Meadows (WWM), owned by Angela…read moreNorm, during my wedding on September 2, 2024. Despite this being a beautiful venue, here's a rundown of the issues we faced: 1. Inappropriate Behavior: Some of my guests, including a close family friend who is a decorated United States Marine who brought this to my attention, overheard a highly inappropriate comment from our day-of coordinator, Elizabeth Robinett, "what confidence does she have in wearing her dress". This brought concern that she was talking about one of my guests, one of my bridesmaids, or even more heartbreaking - me as the bride. When confronted, she denied it, which was unacceptable and a lie as she and the other WWM staff member had no material that they were looking at a previous wedding. Professionalism is crucial in this industry, and such remarks are completely out of line. As he was one of several guests who heard this conversation, it's interesting to hear your rebuttal rather than using this as a teaching moment to correct your staff. The conversation was not meant as a compliment. You have cameras all over that facility, please review the footage on Sept 2, 2024 between 2pm-2:30pm before my ceremony started when Elizabeth was helping direct my guests to the outdoor ceremony space. 2. Substandard Coordination: Elizabeth's disinterest in going beyond the minimum was frustrating and added unnecessary stress to our big day. In the days leading up to our wedding, I seemingly needed to convince her that in her position as day of coordinator she should be helping with certain kinds of tasks. While I'm sure you've had hundreds of guests at your venue, I just wanted to make it known that I had less than 100 guests attend after our final count after we concluded our wedding. Our party did not 'involve managing the flow of hundreds of guests'. I'm sure this was a simple oversight. To reference the coordination skills we received, we did receive 'substandard coordination' skills that left much to be desired. 3. Poor Audio Quality: Despite assurances of a state-of-the-art sound system, the audio was dreadful. Key speeches, including those of the maid of honor, best man, and even myself, were barely audible. We were also unable to hear anything the DJ was saying, which made things difficult and stressful because we were on a tight timeline. The DJ's attempts to schedule a sound check were ignored, leading to many moments being lost. 4. Bartending Service Issues: We were told we could choose our own licensed bartender but were later forced to use one from a company, resulting in subpar service and a widely negative impact on our event. 5. Planning Process Troubles: From the start, the planning was fraught with issues. Angela Norm was unprepared for our first meeting by not properly notating our meeting date and time resulting in double-booking our time and showing a lack of organization. The limited availability of staff made scheduling difficult, and even payment processes were a hassle. 6. Miscommunication and Stress: The day after our wedding, we were asked if we were checking out of the Dairy Barn despite our contract specifying that we had occupancy for both the wedding night and the following night. Given the significant amount we spent, the level of service fell far short of what was promised. I would strongly advise others to reconsider before booking with WWM. My husband and I will never get this day back or experience it for what it should have been. It's interesting to see the immediate finger pointing or blame. This is undoubtably a beautiful venue but brides beware, it you have anything less than a perfect experience on your special day it will somehow, someway be your fault.
