Went to purchase a vase of flowers for my mother's birthday here. The store is a bit cluttered but pretty charming. The owner did seem slightly awkward when I asked questions about different options, so I just chose to get the same thing as someone else's flower order that I saw on display. Overall it's a nice store but customer service can be better.

Don't know about the previous reviewer but I had no complaints. Gary the guy behind the counter seemed like an ok guy, gave me some help in designing what I wanted to give.. Place is small and it looks like its a victorian style house the converted into a flower shop. The do have alot of things cluttered everywhere, so careful when you walk in there. You might break something , being its small.

50th wedding anniversary flowers I ordered a nice flower arrangement for my wife from Cheerful Dragon for our 50th wedding anniversary. They were delivered on time and were very beautiful. The staff also added a second arrangement is a vase with "50th wedding anniversary" embossed on it. Beautiful flowers to help mark this special occasion... My wife loved them. It's a family owned business that I will be going back to for all of flower orders. read more

The shop willing to go the extra mile!!! When my florist told me that they never placed the order for my wedding bouquet two days before my wedding date, Cheerful Dragonfly saved the day. They searched high and low for white calla lilies and even crossed state lines to get them for me. I cannot thank them enough for putting in the extra effort and making my vision come to life with such short notice. The flowers were beautiful and exactly what I wanted. We will definitely be going here for all our future flower needs! read more

Very happy with the customer service over the phone and same day delivery to Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill. It was easy to place my order with a real person picking up the phone right away. She helped me place an order within my budget & made sure it was delivered to my friend's hospital room that afternoon. The recipient said the arrangement was beautiful too and cheered up her stay! Overall would definitely use this business again if I needed to send a local delivery florist. I don't mind paying a bit extra for great customer service and a good product from a local business. read more

Avoid this place at all costs! I drive by it all the time and have been wanting to check it out for a while. Well, I finally went in yesterday and it was a HUGE MISTAKE. Not only was the owner extremely rude and condescending but the prices were overly inflated. No thanks... I don't need to be treated like crap while being ripped off. read more

I can not say enough about Jennifer designs out of lavender and lace. I showed Jen a picture of my wedding gown and from there she created the most stunning floral arrangements for my wedding where almost two hundred people showed up and complimented me on the flowers! Absolutely love Jen! She worked with me allowed me to provide my own boxes and stands for the flowers to lower cost. Being budget friend she also provided me with three choices on everything: most cost effective, average cost, and splurge choices. AMAZING read more

Just came back from yet another wonderful shopping experience at Lavender and Lace. Gary always has a perfect gift for what ever occasion I need . I cannot say how much I love this store and there flowers.I can not say enough about the gift shop if you love Victorian things it's is the best place in N.J. wish I could buy everything. It's been a while since I've been here and the last time we had reservations we waited 35 minutes for someone to seat us but they must have been extremely busy in the back taking care of the roomful of little girls that were having a party. We actually left Instead because it was just too loud (and of course no one even came to greet us). I've been here quite often through the years and when I first started going it was lovely, but then seemed to go downhill with each visit. It's connected to a flower shop that is very small with LOTS of stuff to buy on shelves which can certainly keep you busy browsing while you wait to be seated...just be careful Maneuvering through the floor. Food seemed average and the staff was always pleasant, who knows maybe its time to give it another visit. read more

I have actually never wrote a review online before. However, as I am a frequent user of online ratings to be a smart consumer, I feel compelled to share what kind of client service this establishment has, or better said, lack thereof so that potential readers can better spend their money elsewhere. In short, this florist is undoubtedly overpriced and has horrifically poor customer service. I ordered an arrangement online through their site for $70 for an important occasion. It ended up that although I received a confirmation of my successful order and my credit card was charged, they actually didn't have what I ordered and I only was informed of it when I called to confirm the delivery time. I then asked about alternatives and was given poor choices that weren't close to the original order. When I suggested others, I was told they were out of these and those (just about everything) and that other options were unable to be done for my price range (even at a smaller size!?). Not only was I not compensated for the time and inconvenience, but the owner failed to even find a resolution that I felt confident about - he told me it'd be an arrangement but couldn't confirm neither the kinds of flowers nor colors that would be used! I definitely will not be returning and hope others avoid having any similar experience. After the fact I saw there's a nearby florist in Pitman with numerous great reviews - I'll be sure to use them next time! read more

We worked with Jen of Jennifer Designs for my daughter's wedding. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous! They were truly breathtaking. We received so many many compliments on them. Jen worked with us on the colors and sizes and availability. Also was conscientious about our budget. Couldn't say enough great things about the design and beauty! Also, she was very timely getting our flowers to the home, and to the church and yacht club which were in two different towns! read more

A beautiful variety of arrangements and great customer service. A great, friendly florist, I ordered through their website for friend's funeral, but my order got lost in their system. Upon follow up, they immediately, apologized and remedied the situation, giving me an upgrade. Ask for Garry, he was personal and professional during a delicate time. read more

Lavender and Lace has been proudly serving the Gloucester County area for the last 25 years. We are family owned and operated in the former Victorian home of Job Scott, known as the "Scott Mansion" c.1870. We first opened in May 1988 to serve the Mantua, Wenonah, Deptford and West Deptford communities. The area has certainly grown over the past 26 years with family housing developments replacing both farmland and wooded areas. We have also made some changes to our appearance as well. Fifteen years ago we added a Victorian Conservatory from Oxford, England, for our English Tea Room. Over the years our building has become somewhat of a landmark. Our "Painted Lady" has received a total makeover in a bright palette of lavenders and purples.In addition to being a full service florist we have a extensive Victorian Gift Shop and an English Tea Room. We now offer Childrens' Themed Parties as well as Tea Parties for small Bridal and Baby Showers, business luncheons and causal get togethers.We

I mean, if you don't want to answer the phone, just send it to the answering machine so the customer can at least leave a message. Clearly picking up the phone and hanging it up on a customer is not a good business practice. Gave two stars because I know they have lovely flowers, but I will never order again from this florist as I prefer not to deal with that type of management style. There are many other wonderful florists out there that will gladly pick up the phone until closing time and sometimes after.
