This place used to be a lot better. I got there shortly after it opened for the day, because I wanted a variety of cupcakes. They barely had anything ready, not much for specialty cakes. Was a lot of basic chocolate or white cake with buttercream. Pricey for the product. Their actual specialty cupcakes are good. Was disappointed in the filling, it was lacking. Chocolate covered strawberries were special for Valentine's Day, those were delicious!! Was overall disappointed this time.

This was their idea of "filling" i was hoping that the taste of the cake would make up for its sloppy appearance, it didn't.

After paying $95 for my cake i was less than impressed. The rouching around the cake was sloppy and hurried. To add salt to the wound, the filling was so scant NONE could taste it. I took the cake back and asked for a %50 refund but was declined. Then, nothing was done to attempt to "make it right" The attitude from the owner was as if my business didnt matter. I will say the cake was moist, but will not EVER return.

    The limited edition, King D'Iberville.

Very moist. Tasted good. About $2.50 a cupcake. Got the Boston cream and the King D'Iberville. Only down side was the workers sitting at the table who kept staring at us. Awkward and uncomfortable.

The place is hard to find. I drove by it twice, then had to turn on my navigation to locate it. (Not from the area). I walked in as they were opening, but there was someone else in front of me. There were two ladies behind the counter but neither seemed interested in assisting me or answering any questions. The selection was small with some varieties only having one or two cupcakes, which leads me to believe these were left overs. Made my selection and was on my way. The first one I tried was thin mint. NOT GOOD. It tasted like I ate Vick's vapor rub. The cupcake itself was moist and delicious. Just not the frosting. Next up was banana pudding. Just not good. The frosting tastes super sweet. Reminds me of a cheap grocery store cake. Tasted a bite of one more with the same result. Ended up trashing the rest. Maybe this is what some people will enjoy, just not my taste. 1 star for the cupcakes sans frosting and one star for the cute name and beautiful presentation

the second cake I ordered, red velvet with cream cheese filling. 1/4 sheet

Wanted to give an update. I ordered a Birthday cake for my daughter and took to a family reunion. We ordered the same exact cake as last time, red velvet with cream cheese icing. I did order a 1/4 sheet cake this time instead of a round. It was twice if not 3x the cake in size, and the decorations were outstanding. The cake was fresh and everyone raved about it. The cake was $70 and we fed about 40 people with it. I don't understand why there was such a difference in the two. This time the cake was worth every penny it cost me. They did explain that they do not frost a cake with cream cheese icing, but rather only put it in between the layers, which I still don't understand, but at least they explained it to me this time rather than take my money and not tell me like the first order I had with them.

Vanilla cake with Vanilla icing and lovely Pingu made of fondant. Of course the cat tried to attack it, hence the dent.

I know it may not seem like it. As you pull up to park in the front. Few spots are reserved for handicap parking spots. And a ramp leading to the front door. Do not be discouraged. They have plenty of parking space next door. As you walk in, the fresh smell of baked goods fill the air. They offer so many different options for delicious food. If you wish to wet your whistle. They have many different drink combinations. I do not know how long they have been offering King Cake. They have mentioned they have sold out for the day. They suggest that if you wish to acquire one. They only bake so many cakes daily. Try to come as early as possible. I was disappointed that missed the opportunity to grab a cake. I could not leave empty handed. I declined to get the Taro milk tea this time. I instead picked up a cinnamon roll and cream cheese roll. They just brought them out and so I had to get them. The cream cheese roll is freshly baked with some sort of soft dessert dough. It is layered with cream cheese frosting and chocolate frosting too. It tastes really good and not too sweet. The coconut cinnamon roll is freshly baked. The has hint of cinnamon and raisins found in the roll. Of course it tastes delicious with that pillow soft sweet dough. With light sprinkling of freshly shredded coconut on top. They taste so great! So delicious and sweet. You cannot wait to take your goods home to indulge. They do offer few outdoor tables on the side. Definitely recommend it if you are in the mood and the weather permits. Also happen to grab a batch of rolls since they just baked them too. The smell was intoxicating! No Wi-Fi as far as I can see. No military discount at this time. Be sure to pick out something delicious to eat or drink.

We stopped in for a Banh Mi (the pork one was perfectly seasoned, loaded with fresh veggies and herbs on that incredible house-made French bread), and it was hands-down one of the best sandwiches I've had on the coast. The pastries are super fresh--grabbed a croissant and a coconut yucca pie, both flaky, flavorful, and not overly sweet. They also have bubble tea and pork buns that looked tempting (next time!). The staff is friendly and the vibe feels welcoming and authentic. It's very popular always with a line, so go early--things sell out fast, and there can be a line. That said, it's worth it for the quality and value. Definitely coming back whenever I'm in town! Highly recommend if you're craving something unique and delicious. 4 stars only because I wish they had more more treats to select from. If you decide to go later day be prepared to have selective left over choice in the display case.

What they make here are not your run of the mill grocery store cakes. That's why they are not cheap, but cut into one and you'll see what you paid for. Just picking up the box you can expect a good ten or more pounds because of how much stuff they put into them. Their cakes are dense and fancy. Our recent order was for the Chocolate Bavarian Cream cake, which comes with layers of chocolate cake, strawberries, cream, and more. The 10 inch cake was upwards of $80, but I think it is worth every penny for the pure decadence of it all. We've ordered it several times over the years and it is always a hit at birthday parties. I also usually get my wife an order of their chocolate covered strawberries on Valentine's Day, because they put a lot of attention to detail and always use large, plump fruit. They often put the same strawberries on some of their cakes. In addition to custom orders, they maintain an inventory of smalls from cookies to mini versions of their cakes, so you can walk in and try out various stuff. They also serve coffee inside, so it's a great place to pick up a sweet treat on the way home from work.

My favorite is here is the little mini cakes (Bavarian and Chocolate) can't ever go wrong with these but during Mardigras season they also do a fabulous French style king cake (cream cheese plus pecan please). Service 5/5 The owner was extremely friendly, responsive, kind, and eager to meet my request and did so in a manner of hours! I placed a custom cake order and it was ready within a few hours. Cake 1/5 The cake was beautifully decorated and had a very unique and classy look to it with the rustic piping. The cake itself wasn't a hit. We chose a raspberry buttercream on a yellow cake. The cake was unevenly baked and very dense and somewhat dry. It looks like it rose and then fell after baking. Flavor was great though! But the buttercream was sickeningly sweet. It was extremely stiff and dry because it was so heavily concentrated with powdered sugar and the raspberry had an off putting artificial taste. My guess is it was a raspberry imitation extract that we didn't like. But the candied raspberries were a sweet touch that we loved! It gave my whole family pretty intense heartburn and upset stomachs I think because of the extremely high sugar content. I can only speak for this one cake and can't speak for any other baked goods. I'd love to give this place a second try in the future but will just keep in mind that the cakes just don't quite suit my personal preference.
