Terrible!!! TWO hours to have lunch!!! My four year old was crying bc it had been so long with no food. I finally saw our waitress Raven, to complain and she said she was sorry a bunch of orders had been put in all at once. I understand that isn't her fault but we should've been notified, and the restaurant wasn't even half full. Our drinks stayed empty until we happened to see her to let her know. We ordered an appetizer but our server completely missed it. Food was average. It was my first visit. I tried the chicken and shrimp. I chose the fried version. The sides I had was Mac and cheese, and red beans and rice. The appetizer I had was 3 croissants which were $ 2.99. This was so very delicious I was really surprised. I also sampled the black beans, broccoli casserole, and loaded baked potato. All was so very delicious. To end the meal I had the key lime pie. It was one of the best I have tried in a restaurant. The entrance was a revolving door. I think the only two things I didn't like was it's decor is very dark. This is a fantastic addition to Lakeland! Our waitress was Glorimar (Glo) and we instantly felt welcomed as if we were in her home! It was a busy Tuesday night around 7 pm. We had iced tea...he had sweet no lemon and I had unsweet with lemon. The lemons were forgotten, but quickly fixed when I asked. We started with the onion rings and boy they are delicious! Presented perfectly with a side of yummy ranch and a horseradish awesome blossom-style dip. We devoured the crispy, perfectly salted, rings. I had the chicken strips and shrimp with green beans and loaded baked potato. We kept seeing waiters pass by with delicious looking chicken strips and I couldn't resist! It was delicious! Perfect crispy moist tenders with scratch made honey mustard, which was bomb but I preferred the ranch. The shrimp were large with a little corn meal in the batter. The cocktail sauce was spicy thanks to plenty of horseradish. Green beans were the flat Italian variety, cooked southern style with onions, a ham hock, and just a pinch of sugar. The baked potato was perfect. My man had the CFS (chicken fried steak) and doubled up on his carbs with mashed potatoes-n-gravy as well as mac-n-cheese. I really don't like to post negative reviews; however, when 67% of my party of 3 has major issued with their lunch it is appropriate. M husband and I took our son out for lunch when he was in town. He ordered the chicken and shrimp - the chicken was so over cooked it looked and tasted like a hockey puck. The mashed potatoes were cold and the shrimp was lukewarm. The lunch went back and son re-ordered a cheese steak with the mashed potatoes again. Once again the potatoes were cold. My husband ordered a cheese burger with fries. The fries were cold and had to be sent back. I ordered the chicken pot pie with a side salad. The salad was nicely presented and the pot pie was hot. Sadly, we will not be going back. read more

It was my second time going to this location, and my boyfriends first, we immediately were seated and taken care of by our waitress, Amanda. After our food was served we had two coincidental not so great of experiences but to our surprise we were accommodated by both Amanda and the kitchen manager (can't remember his name) and they were both very apologetic and sympathetic. Moral of the story, due to them both being so generous and sweet, we didn't allow a little mistake to ruin our experience or change our minds about going back. Was so happy to find a Cheddar's nearby! We used to always go to Brandon, which unfortunately closed (as did the one in MS by my parents' house). Everyone was super gracious. The host asked if we'd visited before, if we were celebrating anything, and made us feel very welcomed. Our waitress was awesome. Super personable, efficient, and stayed on top of all our needs. The actual building is very nice. Much fancier than the old Brandon location I was so accustomed to. Everything was clean (a must) and well kept. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly, and plentiful. We both had leftovers for lunch the next day. It's really hard to beat the price. You can grab a couple of gyros from the drive thru down the street and pay the same that you would for a "real" meal here. Both places have their merits, I know, but we were frankly surprised when the check came and it was as low as it was. Cheddar's is an excellent value proposition. Saturday night we wanted something more than just fast food. We waked in at 10 pm and was seated immediately. Their chips and salsa is an excellent appetizer. My wife had the half Monte Cristo and house salad. I had the chicken tender meal with fries and my daughter had the chicken pot pie. I have to say everything came out hot. Monte cristo is a must!! That is a dish they have mastered! The honey butter croissants are good but very fragile. The Pain Killer cocktail is very good and there is a limit of 2 per person but then if you want a third one the manager will clear you. It really was not a big deal. read more

I will definitely not be coming back. It first started out by the hostess cramming a large group into a booth. We asked if we could sit at one of the empty tables and was told no, those were for other customers.(they weren't used for another 20 minutes) Next the server with the neck tattoo came up and quickly notified us that she was not our server and they did not have any crescent rolls but she would get us something to drink. Our actual server brought our drinks and quickly left and didn't come back for 15 minutes. She took our order and we did not see her again for another 20 minutes, When she came back to tell me they were out of meat loaf and asked what I wanted to instead. The young man that brought our appetizer was nice. Another waitress walked by bring her customers their food, they had meatloaf. I asked our server if they had some ready I saw someone bring some out, she quickly snapped and told me I was mistaken they had no meatloaf. After another 20 minutes, the table behind us that didn't sit down until after we had our drinks had their food delivered, our server said she was going to check. When she came she said our food was being put on the tray. 10 minutes later it comes out. All of my food was cold. Like out of the refrigerator cold. The rest of our party had cold food of some sort. I told the young man who brought it to return it and take it off my bill, he offered to get me something else or how he could make it right. I explained I just wanted my bill we had been there for over an hour and I just wanted to leave. He said he would get a manager. The manager came out, she was nice and very apologetic she offered to get us something else I declined and told her They didn't have what I came there for anyway, she said they did have meatloaf. I told the same thing I just wanted my bill and to leave. The manager still gave us a discount. I went to this restaurant today and I had horrible service, from the onion rings being over cooked to the chicken being undercooked, and the server never came around except to ask us if we need a to go box. My wife really wanted to try this restaurant out because she heard about it from multiple friends. We went on a Saturday around 3 or 4 and it was packed. We were told 45 minutes, but waited about 30. The restaurant is extremely nice with appropriate decor and TV's by the bar. The bathrooms were pristine and they even had a family restroom. The server was extremely nice, but kept forgetting about things. Our plates were never cleared and she forgot to put our order in. We waited about 25 minutes without anything being submitted to the Kitchen. She apologized and we accepted. It was an honest mistake. The manager came over and apologized as well, but it was fine. We shared the steak and rib dinner for about $17. The steak was so so, but the ribs were better than decent. The meat was close to falling off the bone, but not quite :). I wanted to try the dessert so bad, but our daughter was cranky and we couldn't wait around. It's a very pleasant looking restaurant, and very popular, always a line out the door. We dined after church July 24, 2016, arriving at 11:15, and we were seated immediately. Much of the menu is familiar with burgers, nachos, sandwiches, on up to huge steaks. The onion rings appetizer was okay, but I thought the coating was overcooked, too crispy for me. It's a huge portion, plenty for four with Ranch and a remoulade dressing in tiny cups. I'm sure we could get more sauce (we ran out), but our lunches arrived so we let it go. Wife had salmon on white rice served with steamed broccoli; the salmon was nice, the broccoli smelled funny. My chicken and shrimp dish was nicely spiced, also on rice; the salad on the plate was dressed with a sour Asian-style dressing that didn't agree with me. My granddaughter got Macaroni & Cheese, best I've had in a while. Staff were very nice, no errors for our table but next party over had several issues. Family bathrooms had no soap. Cleaning gear was left out in plain view throughout our meal. As we left, there was a huge queue waiting for seating. Overall, Cheddars seems kind of like Applebee's, Chili's or Outback, but with nicer decor; okay for on the road eats if nothing noteworthy is available, but otherwise, we can do better with our local favorites. We visited this location last night for my Father's Day dinner. We were seated promptly and our server Mike was very nice during the meal. However otherwise the experience was terrible. The bathrooms were dirty and had back of house employees in them cursing on the phone. Once back out at the table our first appetizer showed up the Wisconsin cheese bites, which were overly salty like they used improperly mixed flour or the cooks didn't follow the standard recipe. Then the main course showed up(45 minutes later with only 8 other tables sat). My wife had a wrap which was okay, nothing to write home about but not bad either she has been suffering from some gastrointestinal distress since our meal though. Our daughter had grilled cheese with Mac n cheese and seemed to enjoy it. I on the other had was served ice cold tenders where the breading was falling off due to sitting out in the temperature danger zone. Let me start off by saying that I went in on a Sunday Evening and it was packed since most people just left church. The waiting time was around 30 mins but IT WAS WORTH IT. The service was excellent as my waitress named Britney was really awesome and always happy to assist us. The restaurant has a huge variety and everything sounds appetizing and delicious. I had he Onion Rings Tower, the Top Sirloin and Shrimp combination and for dessert the chocolate cake. Everything is made by chefs and not pre-fabricated. Apparently they don't like doing their jobs after 8. 30 minutes after we ordered, still no appetizer and the server was forced to come tell us that they were out of what we ordered for the actual meal.
