Honey Butter Croissants

We were quickly seated however it took over 15 minutes before the waitress appeared. They ended comp'ing us an appetizer for our wait. Their suggestion not ours. The food was good and after the rough start the rest of the meal was good.

So we had a family birthday get together at Cheddars. I'd forgotten how nice the decor is. My drink was yummy and bigger than expected at a reasonable price. The honey butter croissants were light and tasty. We all enjoyed our entrees. The service was friendly and efficient even with our large party of 12.

Tonight we tried Fred's market in Lakeland. This was our first time there and let me tell you it…read morewill not be our last time there. It is a very big restaurant, could easily fit a couple of football teams. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in the restaurant. Our server Brendan was amazing. Super high energy, super friendly and super on point with refills and making sure that everything was good with us. Honestly, he really did make our dining experience a pleasure. Now onto the food. So many options. A long buffet of salad. A long buffet of hot foods and plenty of side dishes. Desserts Yum. I started off with the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn casserole, macaroni and cheese, chicken and dumpling soup and a soft sweet roll. And that was just plate number one. I'm not gonna go over every single thing I ate, but let's just say I truly think that this place is a must go to for dinner, lunch or breakfast. We enjoyed our dinner so much tonight that we are actually going back again tomorrow to do this again. The menu rotates and changes daily so there's plenty of food options and it is all you can eat. So my advice is simple. Go to this restaurant and go hungry and be ready to meet some really nice people and have a really good time.

It was my first time eating fried green tomatoes! They are a new favorite. Also loved the fried chicken, sautéed cabbage, the slimy okra, and rutabaga turnip. I will literally name it all. The ice cream was so cold and creamy but the strawberry shortcake was the nice sweet to end my meal. Thank you for a great meal

The workers were extremely welcoming and they even greeted us with a complimentary dry champagne because it was our first visit. Nate our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The maitre'd Neal checked on us as well and that made us feel even more at home. I ate the eggs benedict and it's a nice twist using jamón ibérico and melt in your mouth biscuit. My boyfriend ate the prime rib that had a dry rub and made specifically only for brunch which he said was divine. We can't wait to come back and checkout what more they have to offer. If you're ever in the Lakeland area definitely be sure to give them a shot!

However, this time, our financial advisor invited us to dinner. He lives in St. Petersburg and drove all the way to this restaurant, since we live in Bartow. We were given the opportunity to sample a Prosecco, which was absolutely delicious. It had a refreshing apple crisp flavor. We ordered various drinks, including a spicy margarita and a Japanese highball. My husband opted for his usual drink, which wasn't on the menu, while I ended up enjoying a Mojito coconut flavor. As an appetizer, we tried a crab dip that was incredibly tasty. If I ever return, I'll definitely bring my mother along and we'll indulge in this delicious dip. I had read the menu beforehand and knew what I wanted. I ordered the salmon red curry dish, which was quite good. However, I felt that the red curry lacked much flavoring. Nevertheless, the salmon was cooked to perfection, and they had these adorable little red berries that added a delightful touch to the dish. While I didn't particularly enjoy the red curry, I still thoroughly enjoyed the meal. My husband ordered steak, but I'm not sure what he got. The other guy ordered chicken and rice, and I can't recall what the third person ordered. They all ordered coffee. I had a satisfying meal and decided to take a crème brûlée to go. I was so full. The other two guys enjoyed a Keylime pie and a bread pudding, which they both found delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the place was clean and well-maintained. I can't wait to return with my mother or perhaps a friend visiting from out of town.

We also ordered grilled cheese and a cup of Tomato-Vegetable soup($11.99) (they didn't have just Tomato soup today). The chicken tenders (served with 3 tenders) were tasty as were the fries. The onion rings were impressive to look at as they were huge but the breading was overly thick and they were not crisp. They had potential but I don't need to order them again. The grilled cheese was more of a toasted cheese made in a toaster oven rather than a griddle like is expected. We likely won't order this again....unless it's really grilled. The Tomato-Vegetable soup was really tasty and worth getting again. Our Server was Gina and she was really nice and just as attentive as we wanted/needed. The dining room is pretty large with a combination of tables and booths and it is wheelchair accessible. They have a dessert case as you enter the restaurant with a combination of cakes, pies and what looks like a tasty cinnamon roll. We didn't try any desserts but it may be worth another visit just to get dessert. This restaurant is pretty ok with potential to be really good. It's definitely a comfortable place to have a meal.

We travel to hike/walk and are always looking for cute places. We were seated right away and the decor was so cute inside. Their menu had so many choices and I was having a hard time picking! Their fall drink specials looked absolutely amazing! It took quite awhile for our waitress to come say hi and get us water. At the time it wasn't very busy, so we did almost get up and leave (for reference at how long it took). We both ordered the Carrot Cake Cozy Latte with Oatmilk, and our meals right away as well because it had taken so long for anyone to come over. We waited...and waited...and waited. The Latte was actually a tea so we knew it shouldn't have taken that long. People came and started sitting around us and they were receiving their coffees and drinks. We finally flagged down the waitress and she seemed annoyed and said oh yeah I need to get it at the bar. We were eating in, and I saw others receiving coffee in coffee cups. Our tea came in to go cups (think paper)...and no sugar or anything was dropped off. Being represented as a latte, typically that wouldn't need sugar, so no problem...until we tried it. Both were very watered down and little flavor. I had to go fetch us some sugar, and It took us 3 sugar packets to have any taste or resemblance of "carrot cake". Our food finally came out, and it looked amazing. My friend ordered the Fried Green Tomato BLT and I ordered the morning munchies, which had pork belly and caramelized onion, scrambled eggs and other things. The bread was gluten free and hard as a rock. The eggs tasted like they were premade (think hotel style). The pork and caramelized onions were delicious. My friend's fried green tomatoes seemed to be missing the tomato. There was so much breading and they were unbelievably dry. I love fried green tomatoes and these were, unfortunately, awful. I wish I could say I liked it, but between the service, tea and food, I likely would never go back.

Like I would've loved to order fried okra as a side and get a smaller portion that having to order the whole app just to have okra as a side. My only hang up was indeed not having more variety for sides, especially when they already have the item on their menu. Other than that, the food was fantastic, service was great, and it was a great experience. I did see some non-fried options, but YOLO. Definitely recommend the grits. Okra was perfectly cooked. I had the clam strips and they were delicious. Gator bites were tasty as well. Highly recommend everything I had and can't wait to explore more. Service was fast and very friendly. Checked in often and refilled consistently. Plenty of parking out front and easy to spot off 98. I've driven by it many times, so it was great to finally come in and try it.

Found this restaurant as a convenient stop enroute. We entered right when they opened and there were already a few tables occupied. We were greeted by friendly Madison, our server, who could not have been cuter or nicer. The meal started out with warm biscuits and cinnamon butter. So good you could just eat these. We each chose a different fish dish from their lunch menu. Since they are named "catfish" country, I decided to get that. My husband ordered the cod. We chose the fish to be fried -- and they were lightly battered pieces and perfectly cooked. Each basket came with two sides. I got green beans and a baked potato. He had collards and cheesy grits. We both loved our fish choices. The only thing that I didn't care for were the green beans -- more like pole beans and peppery southern style (as in mushy). He thought his collards and grits were wonderful. I think we've found a new favorite place to stop mid-state.
