We ordered appetizer sampler, the tortilla chips tasted stale, the melted cheese tasted nothing like cheese, Santa Fe spinach dip did not taste good. We told wait staff about chips tasted stale they replaced it with another bowl of stale tasting chips. The country fried steak no taste at all even the breading, the chicken strips was good as well as the ranch dressing and that was it. i love cheddars but something about this one just didn't hit for me. i just moved here from tampa and i was very excited to have a cheddars this close to me however i don't know how many times i will be coming. i always order the same thing (strawberry lemonade, trio sampler with ranch, and a side of green beans) and i was not impressed. the lemonade was fine like normal but the service was slow and it took forever for my croissants to be brought out and they were very sad looking (almost burnt). my server was very nice and came to check on us so no issues with her. it was just the food. green beans: tasted great like normal spinach dip: tasted like nothing for some reason. it is my favorite item on the menu so i was really sad (i couldn't even finish the whole thing) and it also had a weird orange/yellow tint when it typically has a white tint to the cheese chicken tenders: tasted normal but it was rubbery?? queso: tasted normal im really sad because i love cheddars and if this was my first time every going to a cheddars i would never come back. i'll give it one more try and update my review. read more

I read Martin N.'s review and thought to myself I need to try Cheddar's. I just picked up my youngest son, his wife and his son Abe at the airport. Young Abe said he was hungry oh to be 2.5 years old again. So Martin's review popped into my head and off we went. Cheddar's is not a small place it is very big but they give you the feeling of a smaller space with the table and booth layouts. Our server stopped by almost the instant we sat down for our drink orders and we also ordered some onion rings and a burger for Abe while we checked out the menu. While only a front and back type menu the selections are almost daunting. So many things to choose from. Abe got a plain hamburger that the server made sure came out FAST! While he was munching we studied the menu and the choices were 3 vegetarian dishes and one cornbread white fish. I had the fish and the serving I was given for $9.99 was absolutely full of fish and fries. Very tasty and unique as I have never had fish with cornbread batter. Great dish. Cheddar is a place to take the whole family without breaking your bank account. We walk in Cheddar and immediately seated in the bar booth for an early dinner. I personally prefer the bar side because the colorful tropical fish tank in the wall that add a nice touch. Love their style of onion rings. Large, plentiful, light and crunchy. The problem is I couldn't stop pop them. But we skipped this delightful treat. However, we simply have sweet tea and a Corona beer. One of our entrée include their Country Fried Chicken. Nicely fried chicken breast full of meat, tender and juicy. The gravy added that extra mouthwatering touch. Mashed potatoes and green beans The grilled lemon pepper chicken came with two huge tender breasts over rice. They are so big that is enough for another meal! The side orders of baked potato and broccoli are well prepared. I tried the blackened Redfish with the crab sauce. That was a big piece of fillet and juicy inside. The two sides of Mac and Cheese and broccoli were nice addition to the meal. The service was fast, professional and friendly. We visited Cheddar's for the first time last week. We had a great meal & the service was stellar. They dropped off a delicious sweet croissant for each of us almost immediately after we were seated. It was warm & flaky & delicious! I ordered the grilled fish & my husband got the Texas T-Bone. I loved my meal. It was so good & the portions were pretty large. Hubby felt that his steak was a bit over-seasoned so if you are susceptible to spice you might want to tell them to take it easy on the seasoning for your steak. However, it was cooked perfectly. I am looking forward to going back & trying some of their drinks. Their drink menu looks very appealing. Our server was fantastic! She was very friendly and attentive. She refilled drinks without us having to ask. She was great! The best part of the meal was the price. Everything was very reasonably priced. This was my first time trying cheddar's and I was impressed. We both ordered the buffalo chicken wrapper and the coconut shrimp entree. Both entrees were really good but the coconut shrimp was on a whole different level. It had to be me one of my favorite entrees I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. We've visited the location here a few times already and always enjoyed the food and the service. Came during lunch time on a Sunday and it was 15 minutes wait. The complimentary sweet croissants were delicious but I feel like they're more like desserts. I ordered the salmon and the meal was delicious. It came with rice and 2 other sides which was a great deal. My friend ordered the chicken wraps and they were good and generously portioned as well. We visited this Cheddar's several times over the course of an extended visit by my Mom. She loves Cheddar's and likes knowing that when she visits this chain, she can expect the same execution of her favorite items at any location. It makes Mom happy to come here. Win. The chips and queso with added seasoned ground beef and the onion rings here are both her all-time favorite versions. She can, and has, made a meal out of the chips and queso. She tries to order the onion rings any time someone else agrees to share them. They come out in a huge pile. They're thin cut and have a thicker fried batter covering them. The apple crisp was, for me, was the stand-out favorite. It's just as good as mom makes, and I don't say that lightly. It's a huge portion, which can easily be shared without wishing you didn't. I personally can't imagine a trip to Cheddar's that I don't order this. Mom hadn't previously tried it and says she's hooked on this also now. You get a great value for the price paid. Service was efficient and helpful each time we visited. To give an honest and fair review I need to admit that menu items (aside from the apple crisp and house salad) that I've tried have landed between A-okay and Meh, in my opinion. Flavor, across the menu, seemed to be minimal. The onion rings my mom loves so much don't do anything for me. The chips and queso were merely okay. The salmon and baked potato were fine but not memorable. Will I come here again? Absolutely! I'll be here every time mom visits and I'll look forward to getting some more Apple Crisp. Yum! read more

I was not very impress with the fried chix I got 2 fried chix breast. Though they tasted ok I hate the white meat... As was this the coating was fine but as ALL white meat it was too dried out... I did like the home style green beans. Mash potato were a bit lumpy so you know they made them did here. The gravy was made with bacon NOT pork sausage. So not very good as far as I am concern. The meat loaf was interesting. It tasted good with bits of bell pepper inside. There was a 2 ounce container of a sweet/salty with onion sauce. I liked it. I got green beans & mash taters. There were a few surprises at Cheddars. 1) Apparently they were having an electrical problem that was preventing their outdoor lights from illuminating. So we had a little trouble finding them in the dark. Thank the Lord for GPS! 2) The service was ok but I would encourage all employees to look out for used napkins and other trash on the floor to maintain cleanliness and pride in their restaurant. That speaks volumes to customers. 3) A rather vocal customer was complaining about his service and food when we first entered the building. I thought the manager handled him eloquently. Headed over to the other coast of South Florida to look at some property. We decided on a former local favorite that no longer is bearable on our side of the State. The food here was wonderful and everyone enjoyed the Queso , their own entree, and a baked cookie sundae desert. Moms had the Pot Pie and loved it. My father enjoyed a rack of ribs that were tender and fall off the bone. Kids always get the chicken strips. They need to come up with a new kid side, as the fries are often wasted and left as the only suggestion. I get the chicken tender salad and try to assist the kids as needed if leftovers are available while traveling. As soon as I sat down for dinner, I recognized another patron, who is a Facebook sensation ( That's Inappropriate ). My wife said NO Way, but her voice confirmed then it. She does some great videos on life, children, and her spouse. Cool to see her locally. A great meal and nice visiting a Cheddars that far outperforms our local Tamarac location. read more

Wisconsin cheese bites were so delicious. Better than most cheese sticks I've eaten elsewhere.There's something different how these are prepared. We also tried the honey butter croissants. They were nice and fluffy but I wasn't fully wowed by them. Now onto our main menu. We both ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. All I can say is OMG! It was very delicious and very filling. It was fried to perfection. The dough is so sweet and the meats inside were so juicy. I just can't say enough great things about this sandwich. The raspberry preserve to dip the sandwich in was really good. It truly gave the sandwich an extra kick flavor wise. (Not that it needed it) The sandwich came with a side and I chose mac & cheese. It wasn't the best I've had but I ate it since service was pretty slow that day. I love creamy mac & cheese and this one was a bit dry to my likings. Our waitress never came by to check up on us which was disappointing. It was busy but not that busy that she couldn't check up on us at least once or twice. Other than that, my experience was great. Apparently Cheddar's is a chain restaurant. I had no idea. I have never heard of them before. But they were the only place that could accommodate our group of 24 on short notice.
