I'm surprised at the rating on this location. Yes, they have a few issues BUT. the food is good. The double Buford and chicken tenders are delicious. They're a tad slow, I wouldn't count them out though. read more

The food is always good. But make sure to check your food before you leave. Messed up my order 3 times in a row. And the whole staff has the worst attitude! Can't even ask to add a honey mustard pack to the order without them huffing and puffing and slamming the window. read more

I'd give 0 stars if I could. This is the absolute worst location. We waited in the pick up line over 45mins for food that was ordered on the app & should've been ready in less than 20mins. People had to back out of the line to park and walk to the window due to the long wait with both windows. read more

Man DO NOT GO TO THE CHECKERS ON 85, we sat in the drive thru for about 20 minutes because all of the cooks were arguing outside trying to fight a customer about gang related activities. After we got to the window they told us to pull up because of another altercation at the window. Then asked us to back up to the window to get our food just to ask us what we had again. So this is not a review of the actual food, but of the beverages. I LOVE me some Banana Milkshakes from Checkers. They are GREAT!!!!! Every once in a while I switch it up and get Chocolate. :) They are rich, creamy and just sooo yummy in my tummy. I had to stop coming down this street to break my addiction. But I am NOT a fan of the Sweet Tea. It's sweet, but you should still taste Caffeine. It's Tea darn it! I need Checkers to add a couple of more bags of Lipton and it should be much better! read more

I went here 230 am on a Friday morning. I watch them prepare the food with no gloves! The same lady went from the register to cooking the fries. Should I suspect this in this area?? Still trying to understand why this restaurant is still open and get business. Why have two drive thru windows if you only have one open with a full staff inside. I pull into this place and was told to go to the other window. So what should have been a 5 minute experience turns into a 45 minute experience. Then get to the window and the staff working the window was rude and I still didn't get everything I asked for with my meal. Its time to close this place. ordered tonight at 7:30 planning on recieving 2 big daddy bacon double burgers w/o sauce, got home burgers had sauce, and no bacon, called, no one would answer there phones for 15 minutes, when they did they did not beleive me and accused me of trying to scam them, wanted my to drive back down there tonight with my burgers and receipt after getting home, i had no intention of another 40 minute drive, 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back, they then inquired when i could next be down there, like how am i supposed to know when i will be in that area again, i forget everyone who orders from checkers is a psychic. finally they took my name and said to bring my receipt next time i was near there. so maybe once again they have a chance to mess up my food once again. not the only problems i have had with this checkers, i once stopped there on my lunch break which is 30 mins, with driving time i have maybe 20 minutes to order , get , and eat my lunch, with only 2 cars in drive through, 1 per lane, and 1 person in front of me, i had walked up to the counter, 80 minutes after i order i finally get my food, my job had docked my pay for a 2 hr lunch, costing me more in lost wages than any potential money i saved, read more

Took 28 minutes to order and get my food (5:29 - 5:57 pm). Now I've never worked in the fast food industry but I'm certainly confused as to why it'd take so long to take/make orders, especially when there were at least 5 people working in the booth. Hey, it's not Krystal's, but what can you say bad about Checkers? Good burgers, good dogs, and GREAT fries, and even GREATER Southern SWEEEEET tea. We don't have Checkers or Krystals in Boston, and this particular Checkers on Riverdale Road is one of my faves, since I used to live in the neighborhood. Beats Mickey D's, Wendy's, and all those places hands down! read more

Service is poor, order a #1 checker combo meal at the window, the female Demestric J SEEMED TO HAVE AN ATTITUDE. gave me my order and when I looked it over and no condiments turn to ask for some she ignored me as if I was not there. I blew the horn twice and she did not acknowledge me. For $5.86 the burger was small the coke was watered down and not enough fries. Literally the slowest checkers on the Southside of Atlanta planet. Besides the fact that they are slow the food i received was a joke. I wanted something little so i didn't get a whole meal just a sandwich and fries. I ordered a large fry but the guy at the window thought he was doing me a favor i guess and gave me a value fry since i ordered a value burger. If i wanted a value fry i would've asked for one! I like checkers fries and since i haven't eaten at checkers in YEARS i thought a large would be a treat but I guess my psychologist that was working the drive thru thought he would save me a few bucks by giving me a fry to match my burger. After i told him i asked for a large his comment was "oh i figured you meant a value size" No! I said what i said! A LARGE! But i had already waited long enough so i just left. Besides the fact i only had about 6 fries the so called "all American bacon cheeseburger" was a complete disgrace to the name. I had a half piece of bacon that wasn't even cooked. I had to throw the whole burger away cause it just looked awful. They had to have given me half a patty because it was so shriveled it couldn't have been a real size. I just went to Checkers in Riverdale. They rushed at the drive through when I was trying to order and didn't repeat the order back. When I got to the window and asked them to repeat my order they were rude and also had gotten my drink wrong. Once I got home I checked my food. The burger that I ordered was wrong. The cashier is rude, didn't even repeat my order and confirm anything I said. I said hello to see if the cashier heard us, instead I got silence. I said hello a couple times, and then got an answer in a rude tone. Not only that, the cashier told me to pull into a parking space even though there were no cars behind me. I'm thinking that the cashier at Checker's is prejudice due to seeing the same race get out of their car to get their food that they ordered. Also, when their own race was at the window, they didn't tell them to pull into a parking space. As for the food, it was hot. But the burger didn't seem to have much sauce and also the baconzilla, it didn't have everything it's supposed to have. I liked that the fish sandwich is crunchy, but a bit plain.
