The food and service was excellent. I didn't have a long wait for my food. The restaurant was clean.

This sandwich was so good I was surprised. The barbecue with the melted cheese and Texas toast gives it an awesome flavor. Good new sandwich that I hope they keep. Very small location that sits on the end of the mall area. This place also have a drive through located on the back of the mall area. This checkers is in a very busy spot on Torrence Av. They are doing road construction in front of checkers and at least 1 mile down the road. Traffic is bad. I would avoid this location at least until construction is done. I was stressed by the time I finally made it to the restaurant. Other than that it was a good experience. read more

Lol So lets start with the bad.First timer and decided to go dine in.Lack of communication amongst the crew.Did not call out my order number when it was ready and gave it to someone else.When I asked about my order they thought I picked it up.Dinning there I seen at least 5 people come back in because they messed up, forgot an ingredient, or in my case give my order to someone else.Sad to say when food is returned they immediately throw it out which I though was a major waste but again I understand health policies. The Good: Food is fresh and hot ( just make sure your order is right first) Great deals and prices on food.When order gets screwed up they dont hesistate to make you another order fresh and hot.Clean bathrooms and dine in tables. My thoughts will be back because food was good and great prices.Just hope the service is a bit faster and more aware. read more

They are very slow and understaffed it took 20 minutes for them to just take our order. They messed up the orders of the two orders ahead of us. The hot dog looked like it had been cooking for hours and was discolored on one side. read more

The night time, drive thru cashier was extremely unprofessional when I returned my cold burger shortly after it had been purchased. She reached for the bag and I handed it to her. She, literally, lifted the burger, high enough for me to see it, then opened the burger wrapper, lifted the top bun and "inspected" the burger for about 8 - 10 seconds before walking to the back. Her attitude was very unprofessional and her actions were unsanitary, especially as a food establishment. Because she was very unprofessional, I no longer trusted her around my food. Also, due to her unprofessional attitude, and to avoid confrontation, I pulled off. I decided to let Checker's know directly. My purchase was made on 5/2/23 at 8:41pm CST. read more

What can I say, it's a chain. That being said, it's a chain we haven't had in Lansing since Rally's left in the 90's. Burgers were large and tasty, and the fries are seasoned and addictive. Service was a little slow, but it's new so we'll have to see if it gets faster as they become more comfortable. read more

Terrible. Fries don't taste like the checkers fries from the city locations, took 25 mins to get our food waiting in the car in the rain when it wasn't busy at all (3:00am after the bar food) Forgot one of our burgers (Glad we stopped to check out food before pulling off) All in all, this a drunk spot to go to not somewhere u should feed your children when they're hungry. The absolute worst! Staff was rude and had such attitude. Waited over 20 mins for a burger & cheese sticks. Received my food with attitude and my burger was cold & cheese sticks were warm. Giving this place 5 stars, not for the food really (you can only make dirt cheap food so good) but because this Checkers is SOOOO much faster than the Hammond Rally's. The burgers also taste a bit better. read more

I'm giving this location a 5 star because of the manager Dominque. She went above and beyond with giving customer service. I hope that this will rub off on the other workers. The only thing I did notice, that they are a little slow, but Dominque was very quick and efficient getting our order done. read more

Better food at Burger King and McDonald's. My burger wasn't even cooked after I ordered, (the meat patty not the complete sandwich) it was sitting there already cause the meat wasn't hot and steamy like ALL the other fast food places. I was very disappointed with my service tonight. I felt like they didn't really listen to my order at all. Not to mention they seemed to be out of a lot of things. Which happens i get it but to be out of several items that seems a bit off. But any way. I asked like 4 time for the GARLIC buttery bacon steak burger. Which I got a regular butter steak burger. There was no bacon no garlic nothing and idk if it was steak bits on this burger or if it was just burnt food from off the grill that's been there all day. Then I asked for buffalo sauce to dip my chicken bites in and they gave me bbq which I love bbq but not checkers bbq. And my chicken bites box was half closed so by the time I got home I had to chicken all at the bottom of the bag. And not to mention the long wait. Which I don't mind a long wait as long as I get my order right and it was cooked well which honestly I don't think either of those happened here tonight. This is my second review of this place. The first being to Checker's website directly. They didn't care. Maybe yelp customers will. I've been trying to like this location since they opened as I very much like the food (which happens to be pretty good mid-day) and it's close to work for lunch. However, I think these employees actually strive to disappoint. I swore them off for a while. But I gave it another chance today and even went so far as to go inside to place mine and my bosses' orders in order to get it right. Big mistake. I can almost forgive young, cheaply paid, high school kids for their poor performance and mistakes but when a member of the management team is just as bad, there's no excuse . THEY DO NOT LISTEN to their customers which results in screwed up orders. Good business requires a dialog. They're in such a hurry you aren't heard, no matter that you're answering their question. When you call them on their lack of attention, they not only don't care but that woman today actually laughed at me. Again, I blame management or the owner of the franchise. New location same food. Fries and chicken box were hot. The cheeseburger not so much . Sent it back and asked for a fresh burger . You would think I would get one fresh from the grill .
