Two weeks ago I went to cash my Taco Bell work check at this location and everything was successful. Now today, two weeks later, at this same location they telling me that I have to deposit the check, but I don't have a checking account with Wells. I just wanted to cash my check like I did two weeks ago. I think it was very unprofessional to not provide clarity on why they couldn't cash my check. I work hard for my money and I don't want any challenges when it comes to me cashing my checks. Also, the numbers that machine the teller used to check the validity of the check typed this 10 digit number on the back of my check and that number is preventing Check Cashing places from cashing it. Not only did Wells not cash my check, they made it difficult for another business to do so. I have bills that need to be paid and I have things I need to get done and this situation is taking away from my obligations I had planned for today. It sad that they use a Black Teller too, this broke my heart. It's a Wells Fargo check so I should be able to pay the $7 fee since I don't have an account and get the check cashed but today that wasn't the case and I want to know why. I walked in, really wanting a good confrontational employe to give me some attitude. What I got was a nice greeting when I walked in. There was a person at a desk right at the front door. She seemed to know everyone that walked in. Turns out she was the branch manager, Annie Johnson. She took the time to address my issues, got involved and fixed the issue I was having all with a smile. Made my day that there are helpful people still in banking.

The phone attendant did so but failed to explain to me that I was one day early. Later, a hefty penalty showed up on my statement because I had closed the original CD a day early. I protested, and they cut the penalty in half, but it was still a significant amount. I had not even withdrawn the funds, but had just renewed the CD with a different rate. This is not a user friendly company, especially not for senior citizens.
