It's always nice to see familiar faces when walking into my neighborhood Check City. As a long-time customer, It's great to see the same employees, such as Lydia and Kassandra, who've always demonstrated exemplary customer service. From the moment you walk in, you can rest assured you'll have the right team taking care of your financial needs. More importantly, you walk out with the impression that good people who go above and beyond still exist. read more

I've been an on and off customer for 18 year's. During this time when there were job changes or medical issues, I was able to get small, short term loans. Their staff is always friendly & accommodating. Thanks, JC read more

Jhaun-Paul is so kind and fast i love when he helps me! My one and only location thanks to the staff. Give him a raise!

Very disappointed. They enter your information in their system then decide whether they want to cash your check or not. They denied my check when I needed it, yet took all my personal information beforehand. I had to wait until Monday for the bank to open to cash my check, which was quicker and non invasive. read more

It was fast. It was very helpful. Thank you check city. Until next time. I hope to be of service soon.

I was fortunate to have an associate named Sarah serve me when I came in for a pay day loan. She was a perfect blend of professionalism with a sincere personal touch. The transaction was flawless. Thank you Sarah! read more

Check City - Check Cashing/Pay-day Loans Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

Cashed my check here tonight because I was far away so decided to stop here. The Asian man at night is very judgmental type of person. I walked in and said Hi, he said Hi are u here to cash your check, I said , Yes . He then said cause it looks like You need Money! Lol I was shocked and said naw I gotta pay bills . Then I said to him everybody that comes here not broke and I don't live over here. He then said oh you got an apartment! Another shock lol naw I got a house , he ask me how much I pay I said none of his business it's a lot. Long story short customer service sucks and he should definitely not make assumptions about ppl cashing checks. I kinda felt belittled. Last time here for sure though. read more

Michele J. was so helpful and assisted me when I needed to take care of a check and it was later in the day. She was professional and very friendly. Definitely recommend. read more

I mean literally the WORST LOCATION IVE EVER GONE TO . Every time I'm here the service plus so slow . Constantly making people fill out an " update form " every time they come to cash a check ... I come here quite often so it's pretty ridiculous to have to keep updating information I've wrote down a million times for them already just to tell me " oh well no one updated it for you " well that's not really my fault so why do I have to constantly take so much time out of my day to wait in SUCH A LONG LINE EACH TIME , have slow & poor service , & fill out useless information EVERY TIME !!! It's ridiculous & to fill it out TWICE in one transaction because I scratched out information I was not filling to give & then FORCED to do fill it out again because my time has already been wasted & I need to cash my check . read more

I googled where can I get Free Money Orders, Check City came up first & claimed that they had FREE money orders, any time, any day, any location. What they did NOT Specify is this: You must be a regular Check City customer. When I told them that Previously I had been a customer & that's when it was emphasized: You have to have used them within the last 30 days. read more

Gregory was outstanding very helpful friendly and efficient place was maintained very and provided a nice ambiance

Michelle was absolutely unfortunate to encounter this morning. I asked quite simply could I have my net spend card reloaded. Rather than assist me, she made me feel like me nor my business didn't matter and chose not to help me or find assistance. Ive been a valued customer for over 10+ years. I've been to countless locations. This was the first time I ever left Check City feeling like this. read more

This review was actually left two weeks ago but I put on the wrong location. But this the right location this time. Lydia and the other Ladies are very courteous , respectful and welcoming. The only thing that separates Lydia from the rest is that she very knowledgeable, fast & efficient and also she's personal with everyone. She's the best Thanks for all your help Lydia, told you I would do it :) read more

Check city is indeed the rudest people i have ever talk to.they gave me nothing but attitude and wouldn't even help me with my loan. These people are despicable and disrespectful, and should be ran out of business. read more

The owner of this branch is extremely rude. She does not like her job what so ever because she yelled at me and gave me back a check I wanted to cash all because I asked her if I needed to answer a ton of person information. This company wants to know your social, DOB, two references and more just to cash a check. I felt as if I was being interrogated and harassed all to get a check cashed. Never have I ever had to give so much personal information to get a single check cashed under $1000. Then when I asked why she was upset with me for asking her simple questions. She told me "it's mandatory and that I did it in the past. So if I want my check cashed then do it or go somewhere else" I do not appreciate this type of attitude, especially when I'm calm and collected. Her coworkers looked at me with total surprise when I told her not to speak to me like that and I wanted her supervisors name. She then told me she was the supervisor and that she's use to people complaining about her and Handed me a card. As if she wasn't surprised. She never apologized and made me sign a receipt to get my money. I would recommend depositing your check in your bank or go anywhere else if you want any kind of experience besides horrible and distasteful. Good luck everybody else! read more

Hi, Check City Not recommended at ALL. I was collecting a western union & I was told NO. She or Check city actually made me feel like I was a criminal. She or Check City proceeded to shoe or send me out the door. I proceeded to go to 'Walgreens' & collected my ($225) payment. They seem to communicate as if you are of NOTHING. You have NO value. Leave unless they make MONEY off you. Not a good experience, Nonetheless. My family, friends, & associates won't be going or referring anyone too Check city. Mike read more

"what took you so long to cash your check?" We get alot of fake checks in here." We're taking a risk by cashing your check which is why we need your employers information, two references and supervisors information." You used to cash $100, $200 and $300 checks back in 2016 now a $1900 check?" These were some of the demeaning and humiliating comments and questions I received from check city staff on 8/2/2021 after trying to cash a final payroll check with a highly reputable employer (Clark county) along with all the information requested. The outcome was the manager telling the supervisor to tell me they didn't feel comfortable cashing my check however they would call me in the morning once they verified. Not only didn't they verify, they never called me or my employer. This was a check that I needed to pay my rent and these people treated me like a criminal. Ultimately, I went to money tree, gave my address and social, they called my employer to verify and I got my cash along with a free money order. If you guys have an issue with non-hispanic people doing business at your company, display it so we know not to come there. Check city staff uses discriminatory and racist practices against non-hispanic people which I'm not surprised. Yes, black women cash legit checks from reputable companies. It's called three college degrees and advancement. Now I know not to utilize your organization. Thanks for the lesson learned. read more

A family member getting an apartment needed a money order for his move in deposit. The complex's management suggested we get it from Check City. There was a short wait, but the office was very nice and clean, the staff was friendly and very professional. And money orders are no charge if you pay cash! Who does that these days? Impressed. I thanked the staff member for this great service to the community. We appreciate you and will recommend you and be back! read more

I hate this location, they enter the wrong date for my payments to come out my account so I constantly had overdraft fees. They said they will pay my fees.. perfect till one day they over paid me so instead of calling me back and saying they made a mistake Natalie the manager cashed a fraudulent check in my name so I couldn't do a loan til I paid the check fee for returning. I their corporate office and they aid the fraudulent act so I just paid it off for piece of mind. Now they have a collect calling me and harassing me with the same name as the person I have a restraining order against as a harassment. If any lawyer sees this please email because this can't be legal. read more

Was there shortly after it opened on Thursday December 8th 2016. I wanted to get a bus pass but the lady said they were out. I then asked for Roll of quarters, once again they were out. I then asked for a money order which they were able to make. The customer service was horrible. Now I know my transactions probably were not very profitable that day but with all the competition out there these type of services go a long way in building good will with the public. I was trying to see how this place was since it was by my work. Instead I will stay a customer of Money Tree who always seem to provide excellent service and always with a smile. read more
