Collateral based loans can be tricky. Having worked in the financial industry for the latter part of my career, when my friend told me about it, I cringed. But I promised to help as best as I could by lending what financial wherewithal I could give. Of all the car title loans that we could scour the internet, one came up consistently on top with its reviews and reputation. I accompanied my friend and we were greeted by Maggie. She did a quick evaluation of my friend's vehicle (paid off and luxury model) and was able to secure a loan in excess of $5k. Here's the kicker - the interest rate was only 9%. In Las Vegas. I couldn't believe it. He and I combed through the internet together, calling banks and credit unions - only to be presented with offers that started at 16%. One offer came back at 32%. Highway robbery, if you ask me. As can be expected, he and I went through the terms carefully and saw that it was legit. While this experience wasn't directly my own, I feel like I can make a personal recommendation due to my close involvement to help my bud out of a bad situation.
