Thank you to Amanda for making my experience a smooth one on a Saturday afternoon! I had USD to exchange for COP, and the going rate was .0003 in March 2024 - I found this comparable to other non-airport locations in Miami, though maybe a little pricier than if I had ordered ahead from my bank. But for the convenience of same-day pick up, and low fees from Miami Money Exchange, I would visit again. Parking is a nightmare - if I didn't work downtown, this would be a headache to visit. But they do have a sign about free 20 minute parking if you show your receipt - I didn't see this sign until I had walked up,

She made sure i got the correct amount and only charged 5 bucks for the exchange. It was a tad under the reported amount (like a couple cents per dollar and the rate changes daily anyways, im not mad about it). Im happy to exchange money before my trip without dealing with airport fees, giving my passport to some random countries booth to photocopy, 10% fees, or shady foreign atms that don't dispense the money etc.... ill be going here before every trip. I def recommend this place. I can't believe i didn't go here years ago. There's a reason this place has been here for years and many others in the area have closed.

The lady was very friendly and professional. But, when I heard their rate, I was shocked! I hesitated to exchange my money here. But she told me it would be better than doing at the airport. So, I exchanged only $40 (I was going to exchange $100 originally). Once I got to the Bogota airport, there was a money exchange booth and their rate was a lot better than this place. I am so glad that I didn't exchange $100 worth of my money. My Colombian friends asked me how much was my rate so I told them...they were really shocked to hear and couldn't believe it. I think this place is a good place to get a little exchange to get through a day in the country where you are traveling to. They provide you a very quick service! But I don't recommend to exchange whole a lot! The local airport has a better rate - and if you can use your ATM card internationally, it is a not cheaper to do so.
