Barb has helped me more in 6 weeks than my past and current PCP's have in 30 years! Digestive…read moreissues have plagued me for half my adult life. I've discussed these with probably half a dozen physicians in that 30+ year period, and none-NOT A SINGLE ONE!- has ever asked me WHAT I EAT!! Instead, they prescribe me drugs, some of which becalm the symptoms for a moment, some of which don't make it past the second dose, the "cure" being worse than the disease. Barb's entry questionnaire consists of more than a dozen detailed pages, and I supplied her with even more personal and family medical history and test results, all of which SHE READ!! (Unheard of! My PCP's, on the other hand, just scan these into my medical history, never to be seen again.) The initial visit was over 2 hours long, and to summarize, Barb prescribed the most accurate and non-invasive test available: a DNA stool sample. Based on our initial consultation, I was given several supplements and remedies, and based on the results of that test, several more. Barb explains every test result, every supplement, and every step in each protocol in great detail, frequently asking "Does that make sense to you?" and "Do you have any questions about that?" Following her advice, I was feeling better in 2 days, and have been improving every day since! These are dramatic results, and without the expense-physical and financial-of prescription medicines and the hatful of side effects that accompany them. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what modern medicine can do. However, when doctors are allotted 7 minutes per patient, and encouraged to prescribe the "drug du jour," you won't receive the type of in-depth analysis and extraordinary results that you get from Barb at Natural Choice Nutrition. I couldn't be happier!

I met Dr Cole at his office and told him what I was looking for. An examine and help with my…read moreAdrenal Fatigue. What I got was nearly an hour long lecture. I have studied alternative medicine for years. Shiatsu, Herbalism etc. I understood much of what he was saying but he would not stop talking at me regardless of many times I interrupted and said, 'I know about that'. He mentioned my possibly being anemic and I let him know that I had been a couple years ago but that it was no longer the case. He again launched into a lecture, even though it didn't apply to me. He asked me about my diet and I told him it was Paleo/Zone and that I eat very few simple carbs. A teaspoon or two of honey daily and a small handful of gluten free crackers a week. He didn't seem to believe me. He went on to say Paleo often included desserts, disregarding my very clear description of what I ate. He went on to talk to me about weight loss. Something I did NOT ask help with. Without knowing how I gained the weight it was clear he made assumptions on how I gained it. When I shared that my integrative doc told me that the Vyvanse another physician had prescribed, to help with my AF, killed my appetite, put me into starvation mode and that my body hoarded every calorie I ate. That this integrative doc said the best way to lose the weight was to stabilize the raging hypoglycemia that Vyvanse had created by eating small healthy meals, frequently. Dr. Cole admitted that he had never heard of this kind of body imbalance. So, how could he give advice without asking questions? And that was the crux of the matter. Lectures are the WORST form of education. I have run workshops and can tell you, education is a matter of keeping things simple and repeating the info. He was a horrible example of what is effective. I hung in there as long as I did because I had given my credit card info to make the appointment. After spending $350 I hoped that maybe something would shift. Unfortunately it did not. After my experience with him, I was passed along to one of his associates. He too started to lecture me. I informed him that I had taken 3 saliva tests that he had referred to and was well acquainted with the procedure. This assistant even said that I needed to bring in the test and do it there so that it would be clear that it was done correctly. It was very patronizing, as was Dr. Cole. I realized the assistant was only following Coles directives and let him wind down his speech. He seemed like a very kind person. I think this was the worst experience I have ever had in a doctor's office. The level of disconnect was tremendous. It was like dealing with a full blown Narcissist that couldn't hear anything outside his 'world' experience. I never returned. I swallowed my bile and the $350 loss. And I say run! There are better options out there like Docs outside the Box. Dealing with such arrogance has a psychological effect on patients. How can anyone be helped if the Doc doesn't understand basic human respect?
