Colin, the business owner and his help showed up a half hour earlier than our prescribed time…read more After instructing them what needed to be loaded on the moving trailer, they proceeded to have terrible attitudes. They loaded the trailer carelessly and actually kicked stuff around the apartment. They acted the entire time as if I had put them out by hiring them. They were asked if there was room for a mattress in the trailer, to which they replied there was not. When we got to our destinstion across the country, we learned that not only had everything been loaded poorly, there was room for the brand new mattress which we had left behind. Now we're out several hundred dollars having to buy a new mattress. If Colin and his helper hadn't been quite so lazy, they could have loaded everything! There was plenty of room! We also found out when we unloaded the trailer that many of the boxes marked FRAGILE were loaded on the bottom of the stacks of boxes and several items were damaged or broken as a result. I paid for two hours of time - $200. It would have been a bargain if they had done their jobs correctly. They were at my home for one hour of the two I paid for. I wouldn't be upset if they had actually managed to load everything. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY ANY LESS. They were rude, didn't show up when they were supposed to, couldn't manage to properly load the trailer, and still left early. I'm completely dissatisfied that this company showed up and did a poor job and managed to cost me even more money.

The movers arrived and were not the most careful with my belongings but overall it was decent. Delivery was timely as well, but again my items arrived scratched up and not in the shape they left my house. Also they did not lay down any pads or rugs during the move and this cost me cleaning costs at my apartment. I distinctly remember the person I spoke to on the phone on more than one occasion saying, at the end of the move my quoted price would probably be lower than higher. Fast forward to the final bill ~$600 more. So lesson learned, don't take anyone on their word, apparently it doesn't hold up. Overall it was an ok experience, I've had much worse but there were things they should work on... quote fluctuations

Not sure if this was Anderson or Atlas. This was a move accross the country. They estimated 9240 lbs. When they loaded, the washer, dryer and a complete living room set were not to be moved and excluded from the original estimate as were some other stuff. After loading, the driver estimated a little over 8 thousand pounds. The local waste station weigh ticket showed exactly 9240 lbs. That seemed too coincidental. When we unloaded, the people hired to help unload indicated that it was just over 8k lbs. I wondered if this was just luck or if it was because the move was prepaid by my employer. It may seem like it was not my money, however, that meant less in the budget to cover other costs. I sent Atlas (that's where the check went) a note, recived no response. I appreciated the professionalism but this last part was questionable. Google it, the reviews for Atlas are a little more condemning.
