I had never had my hair or my make-up professionally done in the past, so I had no idea what the experience would be. I'm sure I was a bundle of nerves when Stacey showed up for my trial (which I highly recommend doing!), but there was honestly nothing that I should have worried about. Stacey is an expert at highlighting your natural beauty; I never felt like any part of me was being hidden under heavy makeup. I was authentically me at my wedding, and that was so wonderful. Stacey also worked with me to make sure I was pleased with my makeup and hair and was happy to make any small tweaks to my look. On the day of the wedding, Stacey and her team arrived early and worked efficiently to make sure myself and my bridal party were done on-time for pictures before the ceremony. We had such a fun time with Stacey and her team, listening to music and chatting. It definitely helped me settle down before seeing my husband for the first time! As an extra bonus, my hair and make-up lasted throughout the warm June day and through all the dancing I did at the reception! I am so grateful to Stacey for helping me feel confident and beautiful on this important day.

I have been an event director and wedding planner for 15 years. When my time came this year to wed,…read moreI was particular in what I wanted and needed to work with a professional person that I may rely on explicitly. Stacey... is an absolute unicorn. She is one of the most professional vendors I have worked with in SD. She is responsive, fair, well-priced, kind, humble, easy-going and most importantly... excellent in her craft. I asked Stacey for a sun-kissed, California girl look and she made all my bridesmaids and me look like we just stepped off the beach. What makes Stacey unlike most make-up artists (...and so, so special) is her ability to create any look you desire. Most artists have one or two makeup looks they have mastered and stick to them (hence so many pictures of brides look the same). Stacey actually listens, takes notes, photos and guides you with her knowledge on how to get the look you want. She is also so funny and cool, you literally want to add her to the bridal party on your wedding day. Thank you Stacey for being so awesome.

I wasn't present for the session, but my girlfriend said Linda was extremely kind and thoughtful, making sure the final look was exactly what she had in mind. I was blown away by the final results, but most importantly, my girlfriend loved it and felt like the most confident version of herself. She said the studio was aesthetically appealing, modern, and comfortable. She apparently even had a variety of snacks and drinks available in case she was hungry or thirsty. Since then, my girlfriend has hired Linda for multiple events and always comes away feeling like her best self. 10/10, I would recommend an appointment with Linda to any lady looking to enhance her natural beauty--or to any guy looking for a great gift for his special someone.

The entire process was seamless. I found her online and within minutes we had an appointment set. Note: she does not accept walk-ins, this is an appointment-only type of service. The location itself is a quaint little spot with different businesses all in one building and it has a nice waiting area. One of the times, I asked if she could meet me at my gym because I had a class to attend. She was happy to oblige & it felt like VIP service. Shelby is an actual wedding day makeup goddess!!! I don't even know where to start with this review…read morebecause it's difficult to put into words just how amazing and incredibly talented she is. When I was planning for my original wedding for 10/10/20, I reached out to Shelby (WELL in advance) but sadly she was already booked. Fast forward to peak covid, we made the decision to postpone the wedding to 10/23/21 and the only vendor that wasn't able to accommodate our new date was the MUA I previously hired. I immediately reached out to Shelby for the 2nd time, hopeful that she'd be available for the new date, and she was! I knew it was meant to be so I hired her on the spot before doing my trial. I was an out of town bride so we ended up doing a trial a few months later when I was visiting for the weekend and she made all of my wedding makeup dreams come true. I'm a makeup lover and wanted FULL GLAM for the big day and Shelby delivered 1000%! On top of her extremely talented makeup skills, she is incredibly sweet, has the best energy/so fun to be with and we hit it off instantly. I even decided to do a 2nd trial/glam sesh when I was in town again a couple months before the wedding, just because! Shelby recently opened up her own makeup glam bar/studio Toniq, and we decided to use the studio to get ready on wedding day. It was literally a dream! Toniq is THE most fabulous studio ever and I still can't even believe we had such an amazing location to get ready. We had 9 girls total for both makeup & hair and more than enough space for all of us to glam, and set up breakfast and drinks. Shelby is incredibly accommodating - provided ice, drink coolers, and even surprised us all with babe rosè (which of course we had to use in our getting ready photoshoot)! When we arrived, she already had the music playing and the mood was set for the best glam day ever. Again, it was literally a dream! If you are getting married in San Diego and have the option to get ready at Toniq, I absolutely recommend it. Our getting ready photos are better than I ever imagined and look like they belong in a bridal magazine! Shelby - thank you for everything! Postponing our wedding was challenging, but I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I'll be forever thankful & grateful to have had you as our MUA. There are simply not enough words to express my gratitude, but I'm so happy I had the chance to work with you and now have so many amazing photos and videos to relive all of the best moments getting glammed with my girls for the big day. These memories will last a lifetime and you truly made me feel like the most beautiful bride (not to mention, my makeup lasted ALL day & night - through A LOT of tears and endless dancing)! My entire bridal party felt the same about their makeup and we all just love and adore you!
