Once I reached my car, I got a call from the front desk staff letting me know that actually, they could see me today. I was pleasantly surprised, and very appreciative! I was seen by Dr. Mordecai Lightman. I must say, I had some anxiety going into my dental appointment because I hadn't been as on top of my flossing as I should have been. I have been trying to rectify that and reestablish that as a habit, but I was still nervous about what they would say when I arrived. I had even pushed back my appointment once or twice as a result. Thankfully, that anxiety and dread was unfounded. Dr. Lightman was SO kind and nonjudgmental. He really took his time on my teeth, was very gentle, explained every aspect of my care, and even took the time to double check that I knew how to floss correctly and showed me how flossing should feel like. He was a delight to chat with as well! I am sad that he's generally retired and only picks up here and there. He's a true gem of a human and a gift to the practice. I wish I could have him every time! Everyone I have encountered at this practice is incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. I couldn't recommend this dental office enough :').

I came in at 230 same day. I spoke to three different ladies and they were all extremely caring and genuinely helpful. I had my 7 year old with me and they reassured me I can have him in the dental office too. (Kid friendly!) since my son was waiting with me while I was getting a procedure done, the other ladies were very nice to charge my phone and change his seat to a comfy one! Grateful for the extra care given :) My dental assistant was Jenny and from the get, she was extremely careful and very sweet. I told her I was in pain and she was very quick to help and make sure I was comfy. I also had the newest Dentist, Dr. Rice. (Former resident at a veterans hospital). She was extremely knowledgeable and handled me with care and constant reassurance. I'd definitely recommend those who want extra gentle and friendly care to come!

He is kind, caring, and genuinely concerned about you as both a patient and a person. I've had plenty of hits and misses with dentists since moving to San Diego 22 years ago--mostly misses. It took me that long to find the right dentist. No one is perfect, but Dr. Lichter comes as close as you can get. I highly recommend Dr. Lichter, today, tomorrow and everyday!

The surgeon and his assistant were amazing, they really helped ease my nerves throughout the procedure and even gave me the option to take little breaks if needed. It was something I had not experienced at other clinics before. They truly care about long-term dental health, not just the procedure at hand. As far as scheduling and payments for treatments, everything was smooth and hassle-free. I was able to ask all the necessary questions and address any concerns, and they very kindly took the time to answer and explain everything clearly.
