Chattanooga Appliance reliability and customer service is horrid. I am not trying to take away from the hardworking technicians, but the leadership over the operations, scheduling, and customer service is absolutely terrible. They do not return calls or emails. You can try calling their number right now and it goes straight to a voicemail that is full. You literally can't give them your business if you wanted to. The few times I have been able to get through to arrange an appointment they could not give me a window of time to expect the technician. I took off one day from work and the technician ended up cancelling on me. So sad to see a locally owned business not treat its local customers with any respect, care, or concern. I do not recommend them at this current time. Maybe once they get new leadership. You'll probably have better luck with Craigslist. Update: Looks like even FedEx can't locate these guys at work either! read more

If there were a rating less than one star - then that is what they would get. We bought a washer from Lowe's that needs repair and unfortunately this is the vendor that Lowe's uses. (Will not get any appliances from Lowe's anymore for this reason.) The tech came out and said he'd have to order a part and that it would be in within 3-5 days. 7 days later we called to inquire and got no reply back. On day 8 we again received no return call. Now Lowe's has left a message for them with no response. The company seems incompetent at basic customer service skills; I'm scared to think of how terrible the actual repair skills are. Be warned - don't use them. read more

I rarely, if ever, write negative reviews, but I'm making an exception for Chattanooga Appliance. Unfortunately, my Lowe's protection plan is serviced through this company, so they were forced upon me. I've now been waiting a month to have my fridge fixed, and thankfully, Lowe's has recognized how bad this company is and has decided they would rather just replace my fridge than rely on Chattanooga Appliance to work on it. They are rude on the phone, don't show up on time, and forget to order parts and show back up for a repair. I have rarely encountered such poor customer service, and I have passed my concerns on to Lowe's. read more

Shannon called me the same day GE Customer service contacted her. After verifying service warranty, authorization, with GE , she called back to book appointment within 2 days. Today, Friday, William called to say that Chad and he would be arriving soon, as GE had requested two technicians to replace the exhaust fan motor. Arrived shortly after the call, installed new motor and were gone in less than 30 minutes! Professional, polite and clean! Everything you would expect in a professional organization. read more

Waited 6 weeks for them to return with parts to fix my dryer, per the Lowe's warranty. I had to contact THEM to find out that the part is not only on backorder, but is out of stock nationwide, and has no expectation of ever being in stock again, on an LG dryer that is only 1.5 years old. Also, just to come check out my dryer to see what the issue is, they had me verify everything (address, dryer model number, name, phone, etc.), repetitively, over and over. This happened: several days prior (more than once), the day before (more than once), and [early] morning day-of, twice. It was annoying and ridiculous. No matter who answers the phone, I have been met with rudeness and indifference, one female was also condescending. Update: I just called to try and get an update on the parts for my dryer, and the main number doesn't even ring. It goes straight to voicemail, and then says the mailbox is full, then hangs up (tried four times). I guess they have plenty of business that they don't need to acquire new customers, or retain current customers. (Dryer still not fixed, still no update phone calls from this company about my dryer, and it's been since mid February. Oh, and this is through Lowe's "warranty." I want my $500 back!) read more

Used to be the best in town, but they were bought out and now you can't even get them to return phone calls. When you actually reach a live person, it's at a store and there's lots of confusion (twice we got "I work in the store part and have no idea about the service side of our business"). We've left them three messages and still no return call. We're done. read more

Our warranty is serviced through Chattanooga Appliance. Took a week for them to get me scheduled I told them exactly what error code it was. Repair person came on a Friday took a picture of the inside of dryer (I had given them model and serial number ) he turned dryer on but did not wait for it to error out. Told my husband he would have to order parts and they'd be in touch to schedule back in a couple of weeks. He could have ordered the parts before he ever came. He took our word for the error code so if they had ordered parts we could have had it fixed saved them a 1 hr. 20 drive. Waste of time gas resources very poor management of time. I just hope nothing else goes wrong with washer or dryer or anything else that they might have to service. read more

Have a very small gas leak in my gas cooktop. Cost $89 to have plumber tell me that, and to call Chattanooga appliance. Called them on Monday, voicemail was full, so sent an email describing my problem and that their voicemail was full. No response. Called again today, Friday, voicemail is still full. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the business. read more

Very disappointed with service and how the process of repairing my double oven was handle. Tech came out and charge $79.00, I was okay with that. I was advised it should take 3 or 5 business days for part to come in After 8 days I called and representative stated part was on back order and should arrived shortly, she then stated a manager would contact me. 4 DAYS LATER no one ever contacted me. I called back and was advised manager would call me and explained what was going on with part. 2 DAYS later no phone call. Cancel order and found another service provider.... read more

Save yourself the hassle & DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for anything. The owner is unreachable and after paying a $98.27 for a diagnostic on my whirlpool refrigerator, they were going to charge me $650 for repairs including $271.85 for a part which after researching online would cost $164.15. This turned out to be the wrong part and after contacting them in an attempt to talk to the owner, Shannon told me to expect the owner to call me back the next day. Instead of the owner calling me as I had requested, the technician, Daniel, called me back claiming to be the manager. Then hangs up after I told him that the part he had me order was the wrong part. Never heard back from the office manager, Shannon, who has since then been "BUSY AND ON THE OTHER LINE" and still won't let me talk to the owner. VERY SHADY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I lost $98.27 and really regret calling them. Should have checked their reviews and ratings before doing so. I give them one star just because there's no zero star. read more

I've had nothing but problems with my brand new, top-of-the-line refrigerator. Was introduced to CAS by the manufacturer as the team that would service the unit under warranty. Well this unit has been nothing but problems (which I'll certainly post on the manufacturer's site), but the situation has also introduced me to a really good service contractor. I found that Jason was top notch. He has been here at least 5 different times to work on our refrigerator - all problems related to the design, not his work. They have managed to accommodate my busy work schedule to arrange a time to come out when I could be here and then Jason will even call in advance to either confirm that he's on his way or notify me that he's running a bit behind. While here he was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, professional and persistent in trying to resolve the problems. I would definitely recommend their business to others - make sure you ask for Jason! read more

I would like to express how woeful our experience has been with this company. Chattanooga Appliance is owned and operated by David Porter. This company is on the Bosch list of recommended servicers in Chattanooga. Despite their poor ratings, we followed the Bosch recommendation. Beginning in December, three visits by three repair men failed to successfully diagnose and correct the problem of soap not dissolving during the wash cycle. Our new (under warranty) Bosch dishwasher was then removed to Chattanooga Appliance "service" for observation and repair. However, during the repair, the dishwasher was damaged and in the process of removing the dishwasher the counter top was severely damaged. Eventually, we received a call from Mr. Porter apologizing for the destruction to our kitchen counter top and the dishwasher by his repairman. On two separate occasions Mr.. Porter sent a cabinet installer and his insurance adjuster to survey the damage. Mr. Porter assured us we would either have either a fixed dishwasher or a new one by Friday. That was in January... Appointments scheduled by his office are missed, Assurances of resolution dates by David Porter are ignored as are promised phone calls. The manufacturer, Bosch regional offices, the local retailer and insurance companies are now involved. As of this date we are still waiting for the new dishwasher that has been ordered and received by the retailer to be delivered. They made an appointment for yesterday and were a no show. No explanation, no reschedule, no apology and they will not return phone calls. read more

I purchased new appliances from Lowe's 3 years ago(refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer). Thankfully, my refrigerator is the only one that I bought an extended warranty with. I started experiencing problems with it, and called Lowe's for a repair contractor. This company is who Lowe's said would be doing my repairs. They were very prompt in scheduling and arriving when they said they would. Unfortunately, this is where my story takes a rapid downward spiral! After 3 weeks, I called to check on the status of the parts that were needed and was told they were waiting on one more part. Another week passes and I call back only to be told they were still waiting on that one elusive part. We are now 4 weeks into this process and my refrigerator still is not repaired. To make matters worse, my motor has now burned up and they have to order it! I have lost food and haven't shopped for groceries in a month because I have nowhere to put my "cold" items. We do make daily visits to the grocery to buy our items for our evening meals! The "repair" part of their business is sorely lacking. If you could make a living on scheduling and showing up, they would do great....unfortunately, that pesky repair category has done it for me!!! I will never recommend this company to anyone. I only wish I could rate them lower that 1 star!!! read more
