Evidently the previous owners left wallpaper glue up and painted over it. We asked Steve to sand down the walls, treat them, and paint. It was a very labor intensive job (it took about 12 days!), but McKenna brothers were still able to come in under our budget. Steve is super easy to work with and a really nice guy. I will be calling them again for all my home improvements.

Eddie and the team installed pavers at my house last summer. Before choosing him, I met with many…read moreother contractors for the job. I ended up choosing Cambridge Home Improvement because as opposed to the other contractors, Eddie asked questions to understand exactly the job I wanted and provided a quote that was very competitive. He then worked with me to pick the right pavers and borders, then went above and beyond to get the specific pavers I needed (due to Covid supply chain issues, it was quite the challenge to get them). Then his team did an absolutely detail oriented, diligent job installing the pavers. I will recommend him 100%. Not only they completed the job right, but they did it with so much care: taking measurements every step of the way, ensuring the floor was well leveled, explaining to me why I needed some areas to slope a bit for the rain water to drain opposite the house and more). I will definitely recommend this contractor for any job. I am in the process of booking him again for another job at the house.

All of the options were discussed upfront in a detailed manner, patiently answered every question, and spent time explaining technicalities. The quote seemed more attractive than other highly rated companies. They came two days later, as scheduled, on time, and guided me through the process. I hired Mehl Brothers to renovate my basement bathroom and update my kitchen back in November…read more Ali, the representative from Mehl Brothers, was the only contractor who responded promptly, remained consistent, and provided various pricing options. That's why I went with them! No complaints about customer service and we were working with a tight budget. But after they wrapped up the basement, issues arose with both the kitchen and bathroom. Both sinks kept leaking, I reached out and even after two attempts to fix them - they still leak. And recently, the grout in the shower began shrinking and cracked, leading to a leak in an adjoining closet. My basement wasn't a walk in the park. Old house, lots of problems. So I do appreciate the efforts made by Mehl Brothers to promptly address and rectify any issues. However, I wouldn't feel comfortable asking them to come back and fix anything. Now I'm shelling out more cash to fix what they couldn't.

Reliable, Honest, Reasonably Priced, and Great Work!…read more First let me say that finding a good contractor that services my area has proven difficult. Many people advertise that they work Essex County but tell them the property is in Newark and they change their tune. Due to my allergies, my husband and I are basically tearing our newly purchased home apart room by room looking for the source of the flare-ups. So you can imagine that we were pretty desperate to find a good contractor, that would actually come to property AND know what they were doing! When I spoke to Monroe (the owner), he was very professional, booked our estimate appointment in a timely fashion and came when he said he was going to come. The same on the day of the job. We've since had another flooring project done (full carpet installation), and are looking to have some work done in our bathroom. I highly recommend Morris Family Construction. They'll get what you need done; it's going to look good, and it won't take forever. So glad we found them!

From the initial…read moreconsultation with Founder Merisa Fink, all the way through completion, the communication was superb. KitReno does many things well and offers great value. A few of my favorite things of the KitReno promise were (1) they assigned a dedicated project manager to help guide the project from start to finish, (2) they hired the contractors and work out all things directly with them to take the burden off the homeowner, (3) they provided a very detailed floor plan of the remodel to guide the contractor, (4) most importantly they were always willing to listen and provide valuable feedback. Thank you to my project managers Deirdre Boyd and DJ Fiedler. Because of them, KitReno gained a satisfied customer and referrals for the future.

As a homeowner who has taken on many home improvement projects through various means (DIY, a friend…read morewho knows a guy, the in-house installation team, etc etc...) I've never had an easier experience or better outcome then I have using Kit Renovation (KitReno) for my primary bathroom remodel. It's tempting to be that person who wants to control and customize every aspect of a home project but that's where the genius of KitReno's predesigned gorgeous bathrooms come in. I don't have to spend hours picking and choosing among the latest trends, KitReno already has, and they coordinated a group of fabulous looking bathrooms for me to choose from. These designs add value to your home without over designing and making your space to "niche" or a hard-sell if and when that time comes. Picking out my new bathroom was as easy as going to the eye doctor! "Better option 1? Or option 2?" And of course there's plenty of room to customize and apply the design to your specific space from there during your consultation, but all the "heavy lifting" has been done for you. During your consultation you will address all specific needs you may have, what the current space is like, your financing options, and current lead times and future contacts should you be moving forward. The big question is always money, and KitReno was truly worth every single cent! I spent no time coordinating a calendar of materials or contractors, no exorbitant design fees , no paying for shipping or other ancillaries, they handled it all in one lump sum. I had priced my project several times over a few years and kitreno came in squarely in the middle price wise for a much more extensive, high end looking finished product than I would have gotten based on other quotes. To call their pricing a "bargain" might be accurate, but it is slanderously unchic. Shop around and you will see KitReno offers the best possible value for your remodeling budget. During my remodel I was never afraid to ask a question and never felt intimidated when reaching out. Once my specifications were noted, my financing initiated and date set all I had to do was wait for my new bathroom to be complete under expert execution of my assigned design coordinator, Deirdre. Materials arrived on time, contractors and installers promptly showed up with clear instructions and got to work immediately every day. Again all I did was wait until my beautiful new bathroom was finished on time and with impeccable detail! CEO, Merisa has truly found the right way to remodel for today's homeowner with KitReno! I do believe it won't be long before this company can address every room in the home from bathroom to basement using their brilliant business model!
