Though one of my eyelids is still healing, in less than a month the other wye surgical scar is almost imperceptible. The second eye was a more complicated one and is also healing very very well...it's just a a few weeks behind on the scar results. I have no doubt it will be perfect and completely unnoticeable in another month. I would say the experience has been beyond what I could have anticipated and I highly recommend this surgeon, his fabulous anesthesiologist, his professional nurses and the entire medical team!

My dog had a prescription through you, that was no longer to order through the site you recommend. I've never had to get prescriptions for a pet before, this is all new to me. Apparently it's as simple as me finding a pharmacy online myself that has the medicine he needs and that pharmacy sends it to vet. I thought I needed something from vet FIRST. Simple thing to answer. "Nope go ahead and find it online they'll send it to us! Nothing else on your part" would have sufficed. She originally said how he could come in and they would write new prescription, I said I'm unable to pay the $100+ dollars for him to just walk in your doors only to just be given the same prediction he's already prescribed. A lot of people who love and take great care of their pets, aren't rich folks. As soon as I said I can't do that, I can't pay to walk him through doors just same prescription I was meant with JUDGEMENT and hostility. I said "Mam what is with your attitude" to which she replied "GIRLFRIEND you've been scoffing at me!" NO. I had not been, I had been standing my ground saying I'm not paying something unnecessary right now. She had informed me something I did not know, stating it as it was basic knowledge for humans and pets making me feel very belittled. "ITS LAW ITS THE LAW for people and pets to be seen once a year to keep prescription" OKAY that's good information to know, but the way it was relayed was beyond unprofessional. You work at a vet, where people come to you to help they're animals, lots of people done have the financial means to drop 100$+ ( I said on phone I couldn't the 100-175$ for office. To which she took a long pause and said "it's only 0-99$" in a very condescending tone.) at times. Have some empathy or you shouldn't be working in this kind of profession. I wouldn't be coming back here if this wasn't the only eye specialist near by. I've never hung up on someone before but was so surprised by her audacity I had too. Do better. You are a service provider and we are customers. Remember that.

They even let our husky "help" in the reception area after her surgery since they noticed how much she hated being in a crate, THEY WILL SPOIL YOUR BABY LIKE ITS THERE OWN. Both are extremely helpful and spend ample time addressing concerns and don't mind explaining in detail. I would highly recommend that you AVOID scheduling with Dr. Jay Johansen, OD. His "bedside" manner is cold and borderline rude. Almost as if you are bothering him for booking the appointment and that he is no longer happy with his career choice.
