She also helped me ditch items that I really needed to let go of, or that I did not realize were just not stylish. She is authentic when it comes to telling you what needs to go, and I loved that. She then told me some staple and essential items that were missing from my closet, and has been helping me shop for these items (within my budget). I feel like my perception of style has already improved - and it's only beginning. To top it all off, she is so sweet and so fun to work with - I want to bring her over again and again! I highly recommend her to ANYONE who wants style advice.

My significant other and I needed to have some patterns made for cosplaying at an upcoming convention, and Jenna was extremely helpful and friendly! First, her studio is located in a building with an underground valet parking, from which it was really convenient to get to her location. Her office was really warm and welcoming, with a lot of ambient light and examples of her work. She was accommodating with our appointments and our needs, and was really responsive through text messaging. Second, she gave us a lot of great consultation and encouragement in making our cosplay, and taught us a lot in terms of the things we need to think about when it comes to patterns and construction. She provided us patterns, extra pattern grading paper, and prototypes for the jackets we were making. The prototype sample jacket was actually one of the best fitting items I've ever worn! Overall, we were really happy with the professional services we were provided, in addition to her support, excitement, and enthusiasm for our cosplay! We will definitely keep in touch and come back in the future!

Super Disappointed in this lady, I was excited because she came highly referred and apparently has…read moregreat reviews. But sadly I guess not everyone's experience will be the same. First off let me tell you that she is very deceiving. She won't answer questions over the phone which pretty much forces you to drive all the way to LA! I drove two Hours to meet with her only for her to tell me that she only speaks with people for free for the first 10 minutes... after that she charges $50 every 30 minutes cause she expects you to know what you want. Which is crazy cause that's the point of her being a pattern maker!!! In addition to that when we spoke on the phone I made it clear that we were designing hoodies and would bring 4 different styles for reference which she agreed to and said that was a good idea. So when we start showing her the hoodies (which over the phone she said are very simple to make) she starts telling us we need 3 different styles because her minimum to order is $500. She then proceeds to say, that it's too complicated and that it's going to be too expensive for us, when we made it clear that money wasn't the issue. She then said I can't do this it's too complicated. But yet she's the one that said hoodies were very easy and her flat rate was $180 so because it was such a small amount she expected us to order 3 once again we said ok. But then SHE decides that it's to expensive for US because each step would have a fee and it was going to get expensive and stands up and walked us straight out of her room and said maybe find someone else. I was so taken back by this and I told her this was very unprofessional of her. I told her I drove two hours for her to do this to us and I was very disappointed How she was behaving. Specially since I went with high expectations because I was referred to her by a friend who is a well know designer so I was excited. I had to call my friend and my friend was so embarrassed and apologized so much and said she would never refer anyone to her again. I would never recommend her and I usually don't do this but she really was just very unprofessional and the way she treated us was just very rude and seemed like she was just not willing to make a pattern for high end street clothing designs and much less for the people bringing it in.

Style through a series of upbeat Style Story video interviews that she posted on her website. Laurie's approach to style gave me the freedom from the beginning to find my own style. From there I was able to build an organized, artistic, work-appropriate and workout friendly wardrobe collection that makes me proud on a daily basis. During our phone consultation, she gave me amazing ideas on how to put together outfits for work and for going out. Talking to Laurie was surreal, because for almost 30 years of my life, I thought that style was not my thing. Then, Laurie came into the equation, and week after week, and month after month, she patiently helped me breakthrough the clutter in my closet. In my mind that had kept me from enjoying shopping for simple pieces that look great together and last long. During a twelve week period, through her writing, Laurie taught me style concepts that trained my eye to see beauty in the small details and then bring them together like a painter working on a canvas. Laurie helped me come up with a creative game plan to go shopping wisely, with confidence, with a schedule, a budget and with the mindset of a sophisticated market researcher. She took the time to listen to my style story, my desire and vision for my new wardrobe. Then she went the extra mile, literally by traveling across the country, and personally took me shopping, to help me overcome the mental barriers I had about shopping, style, body image, and money. Laurie's personal style insights are relevant, modern, fresh and revolutionary. She is a great expert to partner with throughout the year. Working with Laurie is a treat. She is personable and professional. She uses various social media platforms that make it easy to conveniently access her style tips through youtube, twitter, instangram, blogs, emails, phone calls, and skype. She creates stylebooks and style strategies to assist with shopping for summer and winter as well as for the holidays and special occasions. I highly recommend Laurie, she is very thoughtful, thorough, creative, classy, and is able to connect the dots for women to experience breakthroughs in personal style at any stage in their life.

I also recently turned 40 but was still dressing in the same quality of clothes I did at 25, so it was time for an upgrade. I was most impressed with Katie's competence -- she clearly knows what she's doing. When we met the first time to go through my closet and get rid of stuff, it became apparent that she has an eye that I lack in terms of being able to tell what's working, what's not, and why. I especially appreciated learning the "why" of why she recommended certain clothes for me as opposed to others, taking into account my coloring, body type, lifestyle, etc. She taught me what goes into creating an outfit, what silhouettes I should wear, how to accessorize, etc. It was exactly what I was looking for when I first started my google search for a stylist. I did the full package and after 4 days (one day to go through my closet, 2 shopping days, and one day to create outfits out of my new items) I have a completely revamped wardrobe that is comfortable, polished, and both gets attention when I'm out but works for my daily life when I'm working at home and only visible from the neck up on Zoom. I plan to reach out to Katie again in the spring to get some new items for warmer weather and outfits for trips I have planned over the summer.

I had never worked with a stylist before and I didn't know what to expect. I was hopeful that, at the very least, I would start dressing more like the woman I felt like on the inside. Not only did I find my sense of style and build a unique wardrobe showcasing who I am today, but I also learned a lot about myself and the fashion industry more broadly. Specifically with an eye towards sustainability. Shopping can feel overwhelming and stressful, but Katie made the experience fun and empowering. After working with her, I feel more confident picking an outfit and enjoy shopping my closet for new looks. I plan on working with Katie for years to come for refreshes and special events. Thank you, thank you!

I've never been much of a make-up girl, I've picked up a few great tricks over the years but always knew that I could, and would like to have more make-up skillz. Enter Tania and her amazing knowledge of color and brands. I found Tania through a Google Search and I feel truly lucky that I choose to work with her. I showed up with my scant little collection of make-up and brushes at Sephora where we met and Tania proceeded to pick out the (one) good thing that I had in my possession and kindly told me to ditch the rest. Then she began the process of teaching me about what color palate I should use and which brands are the best, and boy did she have her work cut out for her! I was thoroughly impressed by her vast knowledge, there was not a question that she could not answer or past make-up dilemma that she could not solve! By the end I had an everyday lip liner and gloss that I can wear in four different ways, a "going out" lip color, amazing eye liner (that I can actually apply successfully!!!), a powder that keeps me shine free while still looking natural and covering small imperfections, a beautiful blush and three eye shadow colors for day and night use (depending on how much you layer it). She showed me how to apply everything that we bought in simple and skillful ways so that I actually take less time to do my make-up than before but I manage to look ten times better! I can't say enough about how great Tania is, we had a lot of fun throughout the whole process and the results speak for themselves. I've already recommended her to ALL of my friends, after they saw my new look everyone wanted in on my secret! I highly recommend that you upgrade your look with Tania who is a true professional!

Working with Kallah has been the bargain of my life, I'm serious -- in a very positive way, she has altered the way people perceive me; she has altered the way I feel about myself. She has saved me a bundle by hooking me up with the clothes that work best for the unique "look" she and I created for me - this, as opposed to my usual habit of blowing money on mis-matched styles and wasteful bargains, has been a huge money saver. Another money saver has been Kallah's rejuvenation of my existing wardrobe (the stuff that wasn't hideous.) She went through my closet and then set-out to find the best new clothes/accessories that would add style and energy to my current stuff. Shirts that I felt *blah* about now seem new and cool again when worn with Kallah's suggestions. This woman just knows how to make it work! Here's some of the process behind her magic: 1. She asks me to email ideas about the styles I like. 2. We meet in person and she interviews me. She asks more questions about my favorite styles, varying needs for clothing (work, social, etc.), music tastes and even about my favorite type of coffee (you'll discover why when you work with her :) 3. She shows me a bunch of photos from various fashion books and magazines that she has bookmarked based on my email; we begin creating a new personal look. 4. She pre-shops for me. 5. Three days later we hit the stores. Upon arrival at each store, clothes are already hanging in the dressing room -- I feel like a rock star. 99% of what Kallah has chosen is BADASS and within my budget. 99% is stuff I'd never find by myself. My only complaint is that didn't I do this years ago.

I knew it was time to upgrade my look when my dad started giving me a hard time about my clothes. I ended up going with the closet audit (going through all my current clothes) and then a full day of shopping. I knew the closet audit was going to be rough as I still have clothes from over 15 years ago. Needless to say I ended up donating a majority of my clothes (2 boxes and 6 trash bags worth!). We actually had to hang on to some extra clothes just so I'd have something to wear until we had a chance to go shopping. The shopping experience was unlike anything I've ever experienced and I have no idea how I'm going to shop any other way from here on out. We went to some really cool stores that I would have never found on my own and each one we went to already had a bunch of clothes all ready for me to try on. I'd just jump right into the dressing room trying each one on. Perhaps the biggest surprise to me was that 90% of the clothes Kallah had set aside, fit perfectly. This is in contrast to my 10-15% success rate when shopping alone. I also noticed that Kallah had picked out a bunch of clothes that I would have passed by without giving a second thought when shopping alone. However, when actually trying these clothes on they looked great! I did this as a surprise to my wife and the look on her face when I met her for dinner in one of my new outfits was worth it alone. Her jaw literally dropped and she loved my new clothes so much that by the end of the night she had claimed my new jacket and wore it more that night than I did. If you decide to hire Kallah, I have a couple suggestions: 1. Don't try to do too much in one day - If you aren't big into shopping (like I'm not), make sure to split your shopping trips across multiple days. Kallah had offered to split my 8 hours into two 4 hour chunks and I found this to be perfect for me. 2. Trust Kallah - I had the mindset to trust Kallah and let her push my comfort zone a bit and I'm really glad I did. There were a couple of pieces that I wasn't so sure of when trying on, but that Kallah really liked. I ended up purchasing these and can't even count the number of compliments I've been getting. For anyone looking to upgrade their look, have their better half look at them a whole new way, or impress that chic at work, I highly recommend Kallah!
