Four months ago my wife and I arrived in Warsaw from the US, on the night that we arrived we found a nice little local Polish food restaurant and had a wonderful meal, yesterday we re-discovered Chata Polska. I didn't review this place when we first ate there because jet lag was kicking me in the ass and all I wanted was food and sleep and after that more food and more sleep, 4 months later I have recovered from jet lag and we visited Chata Polska a second time. On our second visit I ordered exactly the same thing for dinner, duck, the duck arrived with wonderfully roasted potatoes, covered with cooked apples and berries and accompanied by a bowl of cooked shredded beetroot. It was all very tasty, a nice large portion and perfectly cooked. My wife ordered the potato pancake dinner, I was enjoying my duck so much I never even tried her dish but she assured me that it was very tasty. I wouldn't consider this to be a gourmet restaurant, I would say it is a traditional Polish Restauranja with large portions of excellent food cooked with love. It may not be gourmet but it is a great place to fill up on very tasty traditional Polish fare. read more
