Made an appointment yesterday for an alignment today, and I stopped in today on time. They pulled my vehicle inside pretty quickly, and had it done in a reasonable time. No surprises. They brought out a sheet which matched what I thought they would find and the price was fair. Interestingly I didn't check yelp Yesterday before visiting them, but I did check their page on Facebook and saw no negative reviews. Anyway, I'm not putting anybody down who had a negative comment. Shout out to Jeff Haines and his technician for taking care of my leveling kit that was installed about three months ago at his shop. They corrected the problem and got me back on the road. I asked Mr Haines how much I owed him and he told me no charge. The kit was installed there and he told me because it was done there he would make it right. Crooks..went to get an alignment on my motorhome and they told me they had to change many other parts at a cost of $4,797.90. So I went to another truck alignment shop and the bill was under $1,100, when I told the mechanic that another shop wanted to change king pins and all spring bushings he laughed and said no, there is nothing wrong with the parts they wanted to change. Above all this I called Jeff, the manager at Chassis dynamics and asked politely that the least he could do was to reimburse me the $90 he charged me for the estimate and he said to bring motorhome back to his shop, does he know how much work it is to disconnect everything once you are parked in a rv resort? He would not even consider a letter from the shop that had worked on my motorhome that kingpins and bushings were good? Beware!!! read more

Was referred by discount tire because I had issues with my car. I'm not sure if they thought I was just some naive girl but they didn't check for the issue at hand and started recommending a bunch of other "problems" they found with the car, which I was able to tell them I know for a fact those "issues" are not right. In the end they "did me a favor" and lowered the cost for the "free diagnostic" that was listed online. I would not recommend this place at all, especially if you are not familiar with at least the basics of how cars run and are fixed. I didn't believe it and proved it when I got my hands on their diagnostic printout. The issue they said I had was not even listed on the diagnostic report. They are scammers...plain and simple. I had most of my shackles on my 40 ft. 5th wheel broken due to poor livery chassis manufacturing. They custom fabricated thicker ones an redesigned the of the shackles. Also changed the links on the springs. In addition, they reinforced the stability of the suspension with square tubing to provide a more stable control. The towing enhancement is incredible. No more lateral swaying while driving. A major improvement overall Incredible difference in handling. Excellent job guys. . read more

I had an alignment about 11/2 months ago and they did a great job, so today I call to make an appointment to install two parts and was told that they would call me back to make said appointment!! James at Chassis Dynamics just wrapped up a complete rebuild of my two axle fifth wheel camper trailer suspension. I was getting some odd tire wear, and knew that my coach needed some professional expertise to see what was going on. Needless to say, there was a lot of shackle and related bolt wear, along with ineffective brakes due to loaded with wheel bearing grease, worn original Chinese OEM wheel bearings. All of the above was replaced with new high quality parts using meticulous care. I am very happy with the service, communication, and final costs of the job. If I could give no stars it would be to many for this rip off company. I had a motor home towed there because they said they could put new airbags on it, it sat there for 2 months. They said they couldn't find the air leak so they didn't fix it. They charged me $1000.00 for storage. Then they towed it to a rv repair shop, their wrecker ripped out the radiator, the rear bumper all the hoses totally destroyed the back of the motor home. Don't trust this company!!! They lie!!! Now we're having to fill an insurance claim for the damage from the towing. read more

Absolutely awesome job diagnosing and repairing an alignment issue on my pick up! With 170K miles on it both James and I thought I might need some additional front end work done. After they inspected it I was told that everything was actually in good shape and just needed the alignment. Great work by honest people at a fair price. That's hard to find these days! I called Discount Tire and asked if they did brake and wheel bearing inspections. This was for a used camper that was new to me, so I wanted to know what it was rolling on and if and when it would need service. They sent me to James and said he is honest. I visited the manager at Discount Tire after my experience, and apparently Chassis Dynamics had been grooming the employees at this national company in order to get referrals who they then attempt to fleece. If you read the other reviews on here about over quoting labor, I was also attempted to be sold parts that were not even needed. In fact, the brakes and bearings were fine and I went willing to pay $45 for an inspection. I value people's time and want a service. James said I needed shackles. He quoted me $1,050.00 but then "doing me a favor" crossed off some labor, and had the guys look at my equalizer triangles and turned out they were still good so that got crossed off. All these favors were then pitched to get sweeter if I could bring in cash, which "makes the labor go down". I felt sick to my stomach and knew something was wrong. This is now down to $677.00. I said I need to sleep on this, and during that time decided I would go get the camper. I was there when they opened and he wanted until 3:30. I said, no, I brought it in for a brake and bearing inspection - would pay the $45 and wanted the camper put back together. They had all the shackles completely off one side. I believe this is intentionally to make a person feel vulnerable as well as obligated to them in getting it back together. I waited about 2.5 hours and got the trailer then took it somewhere else. I was rightly told that I do not need shackles. This hassle and stress on me was all because I was told by a national company that Chassis Dynamics was trustworthy to do a basic brake and bearing inspection, for which I was willing to pay. The receipt I have for the inspection indicates that my tires will continue to wear since I refused the recommendation. My tires have zero wear! To the credit of Discount Tire, the manager promised to come here and read the other concerning reviews (which I neglected to look at until I sensed I was being scammed...) and to talk to his guys in regards to sending people here. I felt the receptiveness of the Discount Tire store manager was genuine and that he didn't like what happened to me as a result of their recommendation. That is not enough, though, it's important that I tell my story here. Do not go to this company. You don't deserve to be worked over. The number of hours to supposedly do the work were ridiculous, and I told James outright that he was polite but manipulative - this was after being asked if I'm a mechanic in a put-down type of way. I've been in business and a consumer of mechanic services my entire life and assured him and can assure you that the tactics used are dishonest. I think this is part of a business model that will not be changing anytime soon. Just stay away from the beginning and you'll be better off. read more

i took my vehicle in for a shimmy in the front end. was quoted over $1100.00 for a fix, which was to replace the tie rod. i told the lead mechanic/manager, i didn't think so. he said, ''well we could get it down to about $1000 and stated that "the parts alone would cost that much.'' again i declined and ask how much i owed for the diagnosis. 100$ said he. i ask if that included a parts list and where they were going to get the parts. he said he could do that and did. , went down and picked the parts up for 126$. i called my neighborhood go to mechanic who is a pro but does side work. he came over and said there was nothing wrong with the tie rod assembly i had. i had him install the new one anyway, not knowing who was wrong, the shop or my guy. my guy was right. the new tie rod did nothing to stop the shimmy. of course the new parts couldn't be taken back after being installed, now i'm into the deal 100$ for the faulty diagnosis, 126$ for the parts i didn't need $50 to have the new (unnecessary) parts installed and i still have the shimmy. $276 gone. like a idiot, i go back to chassis dynamics, maybe alignment? i think the $100 can be used for work (normally is). nope, could be applied to other repairs, but not alignment. so i have it aligned anyway. another hundred bucks, but somebody in the shop finally realizes it might be a tire, they rotate the rears tires to the front, shimmy gone. steering wheel about 10 degrees off and pulls a little but am i going back? nooooooo. read more
