I would give "100 Stars" if I could. Living in an area "between" larger cities and having a major…read morefailure of a pool pump, could have been a disaster if not for Kelly @ 4 Seasons. After countless "Sorry, we don't service your area" calls, I found someone who likes challenges and road trips. From Kelly having several of the exact pumps that I had decided on after much research, to be willing to drive several hours less than two days later, (earned 5 Stars just for that.) Kelly arrived with not just the pump but with "just in case" pieces and parts (1 more star). After some cleanup of my feeble attempt at plumbing and installing the new pump, it was time to turn on everything and see how it works...only it didn't! After some troubleshooting, Kelly concluded that the control unit for the pump was defective and likely needed to be replaced. Without any hesitation, Kelly was determined to complete the job by deciding to drive hours back to his shop, grabbing a replacement, driving hours back, and finishing the job (5 more stars). Luckily he didn't have to do that...during his troubleshooting, he had been trying to contact his contacts at the pump manufacture for advice. Just before leaving, he received a call from the manufacture that enabled the pump to be repaired in place. OK, this is where it gets really amazing!!! One of the reasons I chose this exact pump is that it has WiFi / Bluetooth capability...that been said, the manufacture rep was able to connect remotely to the pump (amazing part) via a device designator number taken from a decal on the pump and basically reinstalled software and rebooted it, REMOTELY!!!! Yes, it fixed it...(10 more stars for Kelly and the manufacture...Pentair by the way). To top that, the rep stated that he had just received the capability to enable the remote connection and that this was the first time attempting it...first time...and it worked!!! I apologize for being long, but I really wanted to give credit where credit is due...and 100 + star credit is due here, without a doubt. Needless to say, that everything is up and running and water flow and pressure are amazing...Thank You Kelly and rep, you saved the day or should I say weekend...did I mention that this all took place the weekend of the holiday that kicks off the swim season (for us anyway)...the stars just keep adding up!!! I will resoundingly recommend Kelly @ 4 Seasons to anyone needing pool repair done...you can count on him, he's professional & fair priced (worth every penny)...period! So far Mike has been extremely communicative throughout the process of fixing my broken pool/spa heater. The project isn't complete yet however I would like to leave a review based on his communication and knowledge thus far. Mike came out on a Saturday and ran a diagnostic test (yes, there is a fee but every co charges one) and provided me with the possible options we had. He told me he would get back to me by Monday if he found the part he thinks may be the issue. Mike reached out to me on Monday as promised and told me he found the control board. He also provided me with the price of the total repair for this (thank you!). We have another appointment scheduled and I'm keeping my fingers crossed the new control board will fix the problem. Overall: I'm impressed with Mike's professionalism, his knowledge, and his honesty. He showed up on time as promised! He's efficient and overall nice guy!! Tony responded right away and was able to schedule a diagnostic appointment quickly. I was worried the repair was going to be expensive, but Tony worked his magic and got it heating again without needing any new or costly parts. The diagnostic and repair fee was very reasonable. The pump motor quit working So I called up looking for parts and they told me they don't sell parts but they'll sell me a new pump motor. I went to the Amazon website and purchased a 50 MF Round capacitor for $17 I removed the two screws On top of the pump motor revealing the housing for the capacitor I removed the two wires going to the capacitor, discharged it by bridging the terminals with a screwdriver and then installed my $17 Capacitor. turned the power back on and the repair was complete. They knew this. They are in the business for crying out loud.
