She said they have no doctor who sees fractures in the office only on Mondays and Wednesday's. He is on call but unavailable. They are anticipating being "inundated with traumas over the summer and won't be able handle it." Not too busy now, just expect to be and don't even refer to patients as people. There you have it. GO ELSEWHERE! Also the MD referral line has the complaint about them to save others from them.

I went to Dr Jones to have hardware removed from my leg that had been placed there 15 years…read moreearlier. I was nervous. Very nervous. But Dr Jones was really calm, well spoken, and friendly. He explained my different options and together we made a decision. Dr's office staff was very helpful, too. My insurance had previously told me he was a preferred provider and then went back on it, charging me out of network rates. They waited for payment while I hashed it out with insurance. The office is fully entitled to request payment while I deal with insurance, but they were understanding and kind - and in the end my insurance paid. I would certainly recommend Dr Phillip Jones.

June 12, 2024, I slipped on a bottle with my right foot and tore my left quad muscle in half when…read moremy leg twisted, my PCL and inner ligament almost in half. after getting bounced from dr to dr for a couple weeks, Dr Schillen saw me end of June and rushed my appointment for surgery to July 8, 2024. surgery was great, recovery was excellent, after 3 months of Physical Therapy, I was sent home and told to do anything I wanted just to be careful, now is April 15 of 2026. I cannot even tell I had an injury. I walk up to 18k steps per day at times, with a daily average of between 9k to 11k depending on our projects. I'm 67 and still cruising like I'm 40. Thank you Dr Schillen and your entire staff, the entire staff in Physical Therapy led by Mr. Martin no acquaintance, I also would like to recognize the PA beautiful lady that saw me to start with when i first went to the office at Shasta Orthopedics and couldn't walk. She went running down the hall to catch the doctor as she knew he was going to be out for a week, she knew I needed emergency surgery when she viewed the MRI, sorry, I do not remember her name. she was key to my needs. He is good at communicating all of the options available to you and is really good at dumbing them down to help you understand exactly what would be taking place and what impact that would have. He is courteous and will give his advice but seems to be very conscious of when you want to hear it and when to withhold it. I wouldn't want anyone else operating on me. I had multiple friends come to him for other surgeries and they also had nothing but the best things to say about him. Then 2 days before my appointment, I got a call telling me that they had to cancel my appointment and reschedule. Well that was another 2 weeks out. So now it took me 9 weeks to finally see the doctor. Now I have seen the doctor and am waiting for a call to get the surgery scheduled. It has been 2 weeks and no call. I am learning that to see a doctor and get a health issue taken care of is ridiculous. Once again, once there the experience was just fine.

I have been a patient here for several years, and every single appointment with him feels like an inconvenience to him. He is consistently rude, impatient, dismissive, and visibly annoyed the moment he walks into the room. I have never dealt with a doctor who seems so miserable and frustrated just doing his job. His bedside manner is awful, and over the years it has become clear that he cares less and less about his patients and more about rushing people out the door. It honestly makes the entire experience uncomfortable and discouraging. It's disappointing because the rest of the staff is wonderful, but one person's attitude can completely change the experience.
