See, my Dad died last Valentine's Day... and he had an account there. Well, I had waited a long time for his death certificate and also had to apply for my original one. Dad didn't have a beneficiary on this account. He was a Vietnam vet, exposed to Agent Orange, and had Parkinson's and he had begun to isolate and procrastinate. So I finally had all of my documents I was told by some rep over the phone, to bring. The first time I attempted to deal with Chase, someone told me I'd have to get a lawyer. My dad had no assets or estate- so this did not make sense to me. Michael was SO nice. He could have sent me home and made me wait a week (Sherman is an hour and a half from my home)! But his compassionate nature took over. He causally listened to my story about my day, the freezing rain, the specialists, the lab work, and my Dad... he went above and beyond (he really did), to help me get the account closed and the money in my hands- that day. He had to really go an extra mile! I could say a lot more about him, but he's the guy to ask for. Each employee who was assisting him who had contact with me was SO nice! I don't typically bank with the large ones.. I like to support local credit unions and small town banks. But I am opening an interest bearing account, and possibly a savings with him! He did not push this- I just talked with him about it. His wife is an esthetician and I need one of those two, so he connected us! He also recommended the Italian restaurant I ate lunch at, and just gave a review on! Incompetent help with POA on brother after review by bank executive they signed off and week's later corporate stepped in to deny obviously first person approval was not competent to alert any problem next step is to close his account and move funds to new bank soon read more

On Friday December 3, 2021, early morning I noticed activity on our bank account we knew nothing about. Contacted the bank via phone and spoke with a very knowledgeable employee Jose V. After speaking with him we decided we needed to go to the bank. Met with Jose who went over everything that needed to be done. Made changes to our account after he explained each option. Jose then took us to the office of David Key, VP of Investments Private Client Advisor. Mr. Key was very insightful and well versed in investments and 401K. What started out as a rough morning, was turned into a very grateful morning thanks to both Jose and Mr. Key. I can't thank these 2 professional gentleman enough. Thank you so much! read more

Terrible customer service at the Sherman branch. I challenge anyone to call the local number 903-893-5111 and select any of the options on the automated service and just see if you can get a person to answer your questions! It is horrible, the automated system has been set up to disconnect your call or to send you to an unmanned voicemail box. No chance of speaking to a person to ask a simple question. The Sherman branch manager should probably be replaced for allowing an entire branch to be incommunicable. How can Chase possibly justify this utter absence of customer service? they have people's money, and don't think they need to answer their phone?! read more

After 20 years as a Chase customer with mortgage, checking and savings accounts, I was told today all my accounts are being closed and are on hold for 10 days. No access to any funds anywhere and I will receive a check for what is owed to me in 2 to 3 weeks. All this because I deposited a check, which, according to them was unable to be read by the machine. The check was from a local business written on a local bank. I called both of these places who could verify for me, but Chase was not able to do so because of the corporate structure. The local branch can do nothing. I am locked out of all of my Chase funds until I receive a check in the mail eventually. I would completely understand if they had to hold a check deposit until it could be verified, but to freeze every account is beyond reason. Not to mention, when I called the company who wrote the check to me to re-issue, they told me they could not re-issue, because the check has already cleared chase bank. read more

I think the service at Chase Bank is great. The only way to access an ATM is to drive downtown to the main branch. I would like to see an independent ATM added to Sherman Town Center like the one in Mckinney between IHOP and Chili's. read more

Ordering Checks through Chase's automated system is horrific since the system is either down or can not complete the process so the auto system just disconnects and getting to speak to a representative over the phone is impossible! Going inside this branch just to reorder checks or even add new services due to the lack of customer service representatives is also challenging since it can be a 2 to 3 hour process. Considering the HUGE FEES, hidden charges and extra charges for services that should be free that Chase charges customers, CHASE CAN AFFORD to hire human customer representatives! This branch, located in downtown Sherman is so understaffed that no one could ever give it more than 1 star. IT IS NOT THE EMPLOYEES FAULT! This is pure greed on the part of CHASE EXECUTIVES! read more

I agree with Julia F about the Sherman TX branch of Chase Bank. They ARE always friendly and helpful. Today, I want to give a HUGE shout out to Chad Rosencrans. He has helped me before and has always been knowledgeable and professional. Today he couldn't help me, but he was persistent and determined and kept digging on my behalf until he was able to connect me with the right person out of state who was able to take care of the problem for me. Worst bank experience I have ever had. Just because it has the name Chase doesn't mean that all branches are held to the same standards... i was greeted by a giggly male who told me that it was "going to be a while" before anyone would be able to help me. I took a seat and waited, while three employees were just standing around laughing. All the waiting seats were filled and everyone was looking around wondering why no one could help any of us. The manager then came out and started barking at everyone to tell her who "got here first". After arguing and confusion on the patrons part, the manager took one person to help and then promptly returned to the circle of chatting employees. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior. If you can manage it, I would strongly recommend avoiding this location. It has been 45 minutes and the line is not moving. read more

Never answer their phones. They need more staff or get staff that realizes they are understaffed and need to pick up production. Not very customer satisfaction oriented but they will greet the heck out of you when you walk in!! read more

I have been in line for thirty minutes waiting on my deposit slip and change. Three ladies working and they all left the counter now for almost ten minutes. This is ridiculous. Happens every time. Need to train your staff to move faster and have respect for the customers. read more

I don't usually write reviews. But, Chase's outstanding service and overall culture is worth writing about! I have had a Chase account for around 8 years. The app makes it so easy (maybe too easy) to transfer money to the kids in college. My husband had a small town bank and our joint accounts, too. Recently, it was purchased by a larger, but still small-time bank. We read the reviews and knew we would be unhappy. Finally, we moved all our accounts to Chase. They made it simple and even rewarded! To close the old accounts took 4 separate visits to the small bank and over the course of 2 months, we we're finally free of them. Yet, yesterday I noticed on the Chase app, they had charged us a fee (we were promised no fees), and the ATM had shorted me $20 on my last withdrawal. I made a less than 5 minute call to Chase's customer service. Before we were off the phone, the rep had not only credited back the fee, but fixed the issue causing it. This morning, I received an email about the $20. They found my claim true and credited the account! No follow up calls, no days on end...just clean and quick REAL customer service. The other bank...tried to bleed us of nearly $200, because the left hand didn't understand "closed", "over", "done with you people!" which the right hand typed in more than FOUR TIMES in person, for two months and even more phone calls!!!
