I really like my bank but yesterday I had my first bad experience with it. My old dad wanted to open an account and use the excellent incentive offer he was mailed. When we sat down with Marisa, she repeatedly tried to upsell him and get more info about his other investments. I told her he doesn't make any decisions without deliberation, so today we want to open the accounts, period. The new money has to sit for 90 days anyway, right? But she continued to press, and then sit for long periods of time, just looking at the info he provided, asking more questions, and smiling condescendingly. Then she feigned surprise at how close to 5pm it was and said we need to reschedule. We did, and she told us she sent my dad an email reminder about the new date. Except we hadn't shared his email address.
We went home and I opened the new accounts online in ten minutes. I could've done this before, but my dad wanted to write the big check, get the official print-out, etc. He's used to real customer service. I'm sorry to say, we didn't get it.
Marisa, please cancel our April 2nd appointment. I'd email you, but you didn't even offer us a business card. read more
