    U.S. Bank Branch

I banked there for months, every one I encountered during my visits was more than pleasant. Unfortunately after the passing of one of my family members, I had to move large amounts of money around. When I went to do this, the branch manager there treated me with rudeness and hostility right away. I could not figure out why, and continued to attempt to conduct business politely. His tone and overall demeanor continued to diminish, reducing me to tears. I finally asked why he was being so extremely rude, and he responded, "You bring me all this shit [the accounts' documentation] and can't tell me anything about it. You're wasting my time. Don't come back to this bank with this, I think you and your financial rep. are trying to involve me in some sort of criminal act." I told him I wanted to speak with his supervisor immediately, he told me he was the boss and if I had any comments, to e-mail them or call the customer service number! After exchanging more words, he threatened to have me removed by the police! The other people in the bank were just watching, I was not yelling, or being aggressive, but this man had stood up, and began screaming at me! I left, as I walked out most people smiled apologetically at me, apparently noticing the appalling display their branch manager was putting on. I did call customer service, and spent about twenty minutes having them apologize for this man's behavior. Refusing to go back in to get my business taken care of there, I drove across town to the other branch. There, I was in and out in ten minutes! I was not treated like a criminal, nobody screamed at me. Nobody I talked to there, or with the customer service, could offer me an explanation as to why the branch manager on Silvernail would have acted the way he did; my accounts were all legitimate and the moves and documents were all correct. Either the branch manager was having the worst day of his life, and decided to take it out on me, or he saw me, and his RACIST schema dictated his actions from there. The latter is my guess. I avoid that place like the plague. I never wish to encounter that low-life man again. He is absolutely the worst worker in customer service I have ever had the displeasure to encounter.

This location has a great staff of friendly, efficient and able tellers. They have extremely limited contact during the pandemic which tells me they care about health and safety.

Educators Credit Union is a financial cooperative. We've been with ECU for about 9 years now. We moved from US Bank after getting nickel and dime on a monthly basis and extremely poor customer service. We read about ECU, came in to talk to them and walked out with our accounts set up. Friendly, outgoing and accommodating customer service each and every time we go there for whatever reason. We have multiple savings, checking and home improvement loan here and now most recently a short approval process to get a pre-approved auto loan in a few hours. We were then able to better shop for a car. I was also there to help my oldest build credit, working with a rep and asked if it was possible to have him order me new checks and he went in and did that within 30 seconds instead of pushing it off to someone else. What we like best is one of their programs. Debit and credit card holders can earn reward points. Every dollar we charge on our debit/credit card: Debit card "credit" transactions = 1 point for every $2 spent Credit card "credit" transactions = 1 point for every $1 spent Redeem points for discounts and promotions on Educators products and services, cash back, gift cards, air travel, and more. We use our points for hotel stays and take side trips with the kids. I can't stress enough how exceptional the customer service is. After all, banking is a service business, and ECU does a great job to earn your business. ECU started out operating under the guiding principle of "Not for Profit, Not for Charity, But for Service." They consistently deliver on that principle.
